Virmas Private Villa

I liked how the location was a little remote, not too far from central Ubud but not so close either, there was peace and quiet. You are in a beautiful location, with frogs, butterflies, geckos, lizards and fireflies. It’s perfect for a solo traveler. Rae the manager was wonderful so I’m a little apprehensive at writing the full review, if these little inconveniences were fixed, the place would be perfect.

There is no hot water in the bathtub. I read that was fixed in another review however it isn’t. The tub leaks and there’s no plug for the sink if you’d like to hand wash your clothing. I also read that there is 1 free ride to Ubud a day, however that ‘didn’t apply anymore and is due to Booking.com not updating’ and when I insisted, they gave me a ride but said only before 10am next time. They give two very small bottles of water a day (if you ask for cleaning) and need to pay for drinking water elsewhere. No bathrobe, and no hairdryer. Two bath towels but no hand towels. I did receive hand towels after asking, however, I had a long stay and when I asked for clean hand towels they only gave one. I mean one little towel to dry your hands and wash your face, and the same towel to dry dishes as there were no dishcloths. The door doesn’t shut properly and there is a reasonable sized hole in the mosquito net. Quite a lot of stains in the curtains too. Yes, there are roosters in the morning but that didn’t effect me.

A nice and cozy villa a little bit outside of Ubud Center which I liked. The guy in charge was very friendly and honest. He organized everything for me, also a tour to different places.

The villa is generally in good condition, but there‘s still a lot to fix and maintain better!

Peaceful location and Village setting.

Property needs a lot of maintenance. it’s good property but lot of repair and maintenance issues.

Secluded piece of paradise.. away from the city centre to enjoy the sound of nature! Love the outdoor bathroom & dining area over the pool. It is a little hard to find the villa so make sure you have the correct address when venturing out. Ray is very welcoming & will help you find whatever you require during your stay.

Roosters 🐔 start at 4am in the morning! So if you like sleeping bring some ear plugs
