Harpy Haven

The villa is stunning and the staff were wonderful.

Beautiful home away from home, with all the comforts and very well designed and the decor is great. Quality finishes , comfortable beds and lounge is soo cosy. There are 2 large vetsak bean bags which were lovely. Very family friendly property.The host left us with some rusks and cappachino sachets and allowed for a slightly earlier check in

Some of the crockery ie plate and cup had chips, nothing big and very minor. Only 2 items that we couldn’t use.

Everything about Harpy Haven was amazing. The place really felt like a home away from home...it only took us an hour & half drive from Joburg. We wanted to be away from the city and the place exceeded our expectations. Harpy Haven is extremely beautiful, warm, clean, ooh my gosh the view directly from the house to the Vaal dam was out of this world. Winnie(the host) was amazing and made us feel at home. Thank you so much for offering us a late check-out, we literally spent an extra day because it was not easy to leave your place (we really appreciate your kindness)...Ooh and thank you also for the lovely chocolates we found in our bedrooms (we really felt welcomed) We prayed, cooked, laughed, had amazing conversations because the place was so conducive, and it really felt like a "Happy Heaven"...We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back. Absolutely nothing...

We really loved the view and layout of the property. The fact that each bedroom had a bathroom of it's own.

Given that it's close to a poultry farm, the property is exposed to flies. However they have take precautionary measures with insecticide.

The house is big and spacious. It is very clean . Our host Winnie is helpful and just a call away from us.. Her staff is also friendly.

What a lovely break away for a family or friends. Cosy, modern and super clean. Ideal spot for a sundowner and waking up slowly.

Harpy Haven is exactly that - a cheerful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Everything about this property is exceptional. Winnie is a gracious and friendly host - always happy to help. The property itself is meticulously clean, stylish yet comfortable, high spec, and so well maintained. It has everything you would need and the bedding is decadently luxurious. The location next to the river is beautiful and serene and we could even borrow a kayak to go out on the river with, which was great fun. The porch that looks out on the river has a roof with barbeque facilities so you can enjoy the outside away from rain or the pressing heat of the South African sun. We could spend great quality time catching up with our families and we left relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. I could not recommend this property highly enough and I am very thankful to Winnie and her amazing staff for making our stay such a special one.
