If you want to be well out into the countryside and the Balinese rice paddies, this is the place. Lodges built (ours by a busy creek) around the grounds, and a full-scale temple compound where the local kids come to practice traditional instruments. Plus a restaurant and bar. Everything delightfully open air.

Warm friendly helpful staff, place surrounded by gorgeous rice paddies, views of mountains and rivers, beautiful traditional architecture.

Just waouuuu!! You will never find this again! Jero tumbuk is a temple of peace in the middle off the nature. The staff are just lovely, you will feel like family... Far from all the touristic crowd, this is the most authentic you can find. Don't miss it!

This is a very original accommodation complex with a strong connection to the local community and many activities available. The place has a lot of charm, and the hosts make everything easy for you, whatever you want to do — from providing a guide to hike Mount Agung to arranging a driver to explore the surrounding area. We especially loved the therapeutic massages; they were among the best we have ever had. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for discovering a different side of Bali, far from the classic tourist routes. Highly recommended.

Nothing

We travelled around Bali for a month and stayed in many places, this was by far our favourite! It is run by an incredible couple who have created a community hub for the children in the area to teach them dance/ music etc and we got the privilege to see the children perform. They welcomed us warmly, taught us about Balinese culture and were exceptional hosts. The villas are beautiful and surrounding area was stunning and peaceful. The food here is also excellent, we got to try many Balinese dishes.

We hadden een geweldige tijd hier en wilden na 5 dagen nog langer blijven. We voelden ons heel welkom en thuis dankzij de gastvrouw en heer en haar personeel. We leerden veel over de tradities van Bali en de cultuur en woonden een ceremonie bij met de familie van de gastvrouw. Het eten is heerlijk, en er zijn tal van activiteiten te doen. Wij beklommen de Agung, en gingen raften en quad rijden. We hadden een massage en mandalareading. De plek ademt rust uit. Als je een plek zoekt met comfort, maar weg van de drukke toeristische plekken, dan is dit het! Wij waren ook nog in Ubud, en noordwestBali, maar voor ons was de allermooiste tijd hier.

Niets, behalve dat we nog langer wilden blijven. Neem de tijd om deze plek te leren kennen.
