Puri Astina Villa

Large villa very spacious located inside a family land, identical villa on bottom and top floor so great for sharing with friends or another couple. There’s 2 kitchens (one in each floor) The view from the upstairs bedroom is beautiful and the outside garden is huge, perfect for yoga, exercise and space for kids to play in. There are 5 beautiful cats in the family property, we fed them every day and they hang out in the villa with us for a couple of hours a day as we would feed them and take them into the gardens with us. The villa was very clean, had all the amenities needed including 9L of filtered water which they replace when empty.

The fact the staff were in our villa multiple times a day. Most of the time when we were out. We had locked the door on our way out only to find out they had been in our rooms. This is after the house keeping had been done in the morning. The gardeners were also there for hours while we were trying to enjoy some time in the pool or just hanging out in the garden. This made some of us uncomfortable as the gardener kept looking at us. Another occasion, at around 9:30pm, a person walked into our villa without knocking to ask us to pay for our laundry. One morning, while I was getting out of the shower, my windows were open, a lady was outside in the villa placing offerings in each corner - please understand that to get in our villa you have to open the gate that gives you access to our private area that only guests have access to. You also can’t lock the gate when you go out which we weren’t too comfortable with. Although you can lock your bedroom door, they unlock it to do house keeping multiple times per day when we weren’t there. Then the morning of our check out day, my friend was leaving early in the morning and my partner and I were leaving at the check out time (12pm) after our friend had left they came into our villa and started taking all the outside cushions apart and cleaning the down stairs area while we were upstairs unable to go to the pool due to all the staff cleaning. We felt like we had no privacy and couldn’t enjoy the villa area we paid for. The upstairs bed is also extremely noisy! If you move a little, the bed will squeak and it can be heard from down stairs. The villa is located inside a family property where they live, cook and hang out. You have to walk through the family living area to get to the villa.

Very clean and quiet. We enjoyed getting to know the friendly family that owns the Villa.

We enjoyed our stay. The hosts are nice and helpful with everything you need.

We loved the silent off beat retreat. It was very silent, the views were amazing, the property was charmingly clean, and Wayan and his sister were extremely caring towards us and the kids

Very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. Seperate upstairs and downstairs rooms which are ideal for families with older children but external stairs to upstairs mean it is not ideal for younger families.

The surroundings are beautiful but it is a 15 minute drive from Ubud central. Ideal if you want to get away from the busy town centre and hosts offer a taxi service.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The villa is located behind a family home and is very quiet with amazing views.

The Villa itself is beautiful and very clean with private pool all to ourself. Kadek took care what we need promptly. We send our laundry everyday and got it back sameday cleaned and pressed and its cheap too. Wayan,her brother being a tour guide can also give good advice. We're happy with their friendly and bubbly attitude.

You cannot walk to town. Need transportation. But i'm sure Wayan can help with that.

very clean villa. air conditioning was spot on. nice view when you go out to balcony. and pool to cool you off. staff was exceptionally helpful.
