Villa Markisa Echo Beach

The location was very convenient as it was only a 3-5mins walk to La Brisa and Echo beach. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were so helpful!

On our first night there was a power outage which means we could not charge our devices after our flight and there was no water. However, the staff did provide free breakfast the next day.

There was 5-6 people constantly sitting down out the front that appeared to work there. No one was in Uniform and they were smoking and leaving rubbish there. Not a very welcoming vibe everytime you enter the hotel. Overall the villa and complex is very rundown and overgrown.

room was smelling bad, walls were dirty with splatters, floor dirty, toilet and bathroom dirty, bamboo pool wall almost falling, I guess it is intentionally left like this in order for tourists to pay and leave and rent the room again, looks like a scam. Didn’t feel safe as doors were not locking properly. Don’t get fooled by the pool pictures as we did
