Paparei Beachfront Bungalows, Aitutaki

Mait met us on site and welcomed us in the traditional Island way and showed us to our bungalows

It was all fine. The swimming at the beach wasn't like other nicer sites.

Beach outfront stunning, but quite shallow, so not the best for snorkelling. No issues with this, as we just hired bikes and headed to by the Airport and the good spot there.

Great location on beach

Stunning location on beachfront. Very private, quiet and relaxing. Accommodation with everything we needed. Super friendly hosts. Perfect 8 night stay in Paradise! Fully recommend. We do advise that you need transport to enjoy driving around the Island .

Unable to swim in the shallow sea in front of Bungalow. However we found a spot not far away. :)

A wonderful host with a great property that has an excellent location, right on the beach. We loved watching the birds and large fish feed on the smaller bait fish along shore. Conveniently located near small stores and some places to eat. Highly recommend

Paparei is a lovely low key friendly convenient and very scenic and pleasant location. My favourite things were sitting on the deck watching the heron stalking fish, the chickens clucking around and the locals coming down to enjoy the water. I also enjoyed the antics of the common mynas even though the are an introduced species they are very charismatic. I also loved the adjacent Cafe Wokkai! 2 minutes to fish and chips I could bring back to eat on the deck?! Yes please!!

Having to leave

Fabulous location and the hosts were always around to answer any questions and give helpful advice. Well set up accommodation with beautiful outlook and we could walk to several lovely local restaurants and supermarkets. There are no dogs on Aitutaki which is a pleasant relief, however there are friendly cats. The snorkelling is fantastic especially on the lagoon cruise.

You need transport to get to snorkelling locations. Bicycles are very difficult to access so we needed to hire a car which was a very easy process and conveniently close by, and there are lots of e-bikes and motor scooters available for hire.
