Sandy & Salty Villas

Being so close to the REAL Santorini, in Pyrgos, where it isn’t so commercialized. What a gorgeous villa! We didn’t want to leave but there was so much to do…! We were able to walk quickly into Pyrgos for lunch (Penelope’s and Franco’s Cafe were so yummy), and met artists in its winding streets. The beds were so soft, the full breakfast by Dorina was so delicious (the whipped Greek yogurt, fresh juice and fruit, and bread! Our favorites…). And, of course, the pool!

Nothing at all, truly! We really did feel like family, and can’t think of anything that could be improved… and we hope we can visit again!

The host is incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast was always good and on time. We love the layout of the place, the view is also amazing. It's very quiet and very clean.

The let down of the place is the little pool. It's simply unusable unless you are there for the heat of the summer., It's absolutely lovely but very very cold. If the pool was heated this place would be perfect.

the size, facilities and location were fantastic. We there for a wedding and it suited our every need. the views were spectacular and the restaurants in Pyrgos were wonderful. we ate in the town every evening without any trouble, it’s only a short 5 minute walk. more importantly, the hosts who greeted and looked after us were lovely, incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. the breakfast each day, was incredible with fresh fruit, eggs and many other treats. we couldn’t fault our stay here. thank you!

The kitchen is limited if you plan to do any cooking at the Villa. this wasn’t a problem for us as we ate out everyday.

Excellent villa in the lovely village of Pygros. Beautiful swi swimming pool and exceptional sea views and around the island. Beds were comfortable and towels and a few toiletries provided which helped. A lovely welcome of fruit and wine

Beautiful villa with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family with two teenagers. Loved the breakfast each morning (though the diet has now begun!) and Maroulia the host was so kind and helpful. Pyrgos turned out to be the perfect destination for travelling round the island and seeing the sights within 20 minutes (we hired a car) and the villa was so cool to return to on a scorching hot July or August day. The restaurant up the hill behind the villa is so good we went there twice. There were weddings on during our stay but I liked the sound of music and laughter to be honest, and any noise didn't go on late. We'd love to come back!

Santorini IS quite windy so I liked the fact that there were loads of windows with shutters to open so you could still see the lovely view.
