A Capela - A Essência de Sintra

Excellent location, quiet yet walking distance to town; easy to get Uber. Breakfast arrangements were excellent. Chapel itself was quiet, serene, and comfortable. Includes excellent and comprehensive guide to area attractions. Wish the weather would have allowed us to sit in the beautiful, private outdoor spaces. Max as host was super responsive and attentive to our needs; providing recommendations, helping to plan our itinerary, and making the visit perfect.

The Chapel in January was chilly. Provided heaters did heat up the main spaces comfortably, but kitchen and bathroom remained cold. Need to be cautious with the stairs to the loft.

Unusual property, well remodeled chapel. Very close to old city and restaurants. Hosts were very flexible, kind and communicative.

It was such a unique property! We really enjoyed everything about it. The location was good and it was great - even imperative - to have a dedicated parking spot in Sintra. Breakfast was provided at a nearby cafe, although there was also a coffee maker (a necessity for me) and pods in the full kitchen.

More hooks and/or shelves in the bathroom.

All around it was a very good experience. Wonderful facilities, very helpful hostess!

The shower in the bathroom kept getting blocked. That was our only (small) problem.

Beautiful property with very comfortable beds! The pool was a great asset as well. Sara was very helpful with recommendations which we found very useful. We were also given tokens to use at the cafe round the corner for breakfast each morning. The food and service, was excellent. Location perfect for wandering into the centre of Sintra and at night you can see the castle lit up from the terrace.

The peacocks which are beautiful can be a little noisy early morning.
