Himalayinn

The property location was ideal for us, being only 20mins from the closest town and 20mins from the top of Mt Buller where we spent the majority of our holiday. It comfortably housed 11 people with leftover space, and felt like a luxurious mountain lodge. There were a variety of facilities to be used whilst we stayed including 2 bathrooms, a spa bath, a BBQ and deck area, a fireplace, 2 kitchens and 2 lounge room areas. The owner was also accomodating to early check in requests.

The beds were not overly comfortable, and the house wasn’t as clean as expected considering there are 6 hours between check out and checking in. There wasn’t enough firewood left out for our stay by the cleaner (however the owner was very accommodating regarding this), and it was evident that the cleaners don’t move furniture to clean underneath or remove of cobwebs.

The host was an excellent communicator and was always available throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions we had.

The TV could do with an upgrade or have a Google Chromecast connected (the latter being option being better than upgrading the TV) to it as I would have loved to stream some of my apps to the TV to watch some football (not the hosts fault that the AFL does not televise Saturday night games).

Beautiful House. Spacious for a large group. Location is great. Fully equiped Kitchens. It had two and was well stocked with pots and pans, cutlery needed for the stay. Clean house. Allowed us to have early checkin. Having fast internet at the location is a luxury as mobile services are very patchy in the area. The fireplace and BBQ looked good though we didn’t use them. Also worth to note that prior communication from the host was great to provide what to expect in the area in terms of groceries and food items.

It was underwhelming at first when you see few of notes about non working items in the house. But once you read through all there is always options provided for the non working item. Ex. There were two dishwashers only one is out of order - no issue. Only minor negative would be air conditioners were not working and fans provided. It would have been ideal if this was communicated prior as there was few warmer days.

Great for a group, comfortable beds. Perfect location to access buller/stritling for a hiking weekend.

It was close and easy to get to Mt Buller. The property has seperate rooms for 2 adults, so it had a great set up.

It needed a few things fixed.
