La Digue Holiday Villa

We hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad op La Digue. De ligging van de accomodatie is erg gunstig op het eiland. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en ligt aan een prachtige tuin.

We werden verrast dat we extra geld moesten betalen voor het extra bed in de kamer. Hier werd niets over aangegeven bij de boeking.

Good hotel in a good location, great stuff, they are very polite. Spacious rooms, clean, in good order.

I am aware that hotel is in the nature, and La Digue is an exotic location… but they really have to do something with mosquitoes, they are aggressive and so many of them come to the room so hard to sleep

Calm, clean, and spacious room. Fairly well located.

Very uncomfortable bed, cold water... quite expensive compared to better hotels located on the beach. The breakfast was very basic! The electricity went out during the night, so no air conditioning...

Location, kitchenette in villa.

Everything is poor. Avoid at any cost. They are lucky that not many options exist on that beautiful island. They will charge you like a 4 star, but provide you with a service which is worse than a roadside motel. Stayed in a one bedroom villa. Villa #2. Air Conditioning and the ceiling fan were for amusement purposes. It didn’t work for the duration of our stay. You slum it around the AC vent to get some sleep. Basic things like the lock x keys to our room didn’t work too, after a while they were replaced. I sent them messages on bookings.com and didn’t even get a reply ever regarding our complaints. The person who was sent to pick us up made us stand on the ferry terminal and did one more drop before he picked us, while we waited under afternoon sun with our bags for him to double his profits! The lady at reception can be replaced by a statue and a sign board. She is that untrained, inhospitable, mechanical and clueless. While she was oblivious to any of our complaints, she stood right at our door (exactly at 1030) for reminding us that it’s checkout time, as if we wanted to stay even a minute more in that horrible place.

The property had everything we needed for self catering. We spent most of the time on the large veranda which was well equipped. The drinking water dispenser was an unexpected bonus. The supermarket around the corner was great for provisions. The kitchen was well equipped and the swimming pool was great. The whole atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

Some days there is loud bass from a music venue in La Digue. This is an issue for La Digue and not specific to the Villa

the facility definitely exceeds my expectations, beautiful garden, very nice service and a great place to relax, definitely for people who are looking for peace. They take great care of details, every detail is thought out, bedroom with mosquito net, nice bathroom, comfortable beds, good Thai restaurant, possibility of renting bikes, close to the ferry
