Lakefront holiday villa

Amazing view from the house overlooking the lake. Great deck in the back and kayaks. The house is beautiful.

Watch out for the mosquitoes at night! But it's to be expected, considering the location.

The villa is full of character. Around 3km out of town so it's a short drive but it's very peaceful and you are directly on the lake. You could quite easily stay all day on the veranda. However, there are 2 Kayaks to use and we did this in the early morning and were rewarded with several Platypus sightings. A real highlight. We had 3 days in the area. Worth swimming in Lake Eacham - beautiful and a nice short walk around it. Very well equipped kitchen and reliable wifi. The bath was lovely with a great shower. We were fully self catering and the Foodworks in town is very well stocked. No need to go to Atherton. Lots of birds around if you enjoy birdwatching - lots of Pelicans and Cormorants in particular.

One of the best locations I have ever stayed at. View of the lake almost 180 degrees. Wonderful variety of sea birds and beautiful sunsets. Old stone villa with lots of amenities. Very comfortable. Sitting on the verandah and taking in the view so good for the soul.

I would only be nitpicking.

The location was amazing and the villa is a lovely old home.

Could do with a spring clean. Would have been perfect if the air con in the main living area was reverse cycle as it was chilly in the mornings.

Very homely and comfortable. Well equipped & in a beautiful lakefront location.

Old charm. Quiet and private with absolute waterfront position. Can easily sit at the veranda all day taking in the view.

Nothing really apart from being at the water's edge there are quite a bit of mozzies. Would recommend to bring mozzie repellent or have mozzie coils available for guests.
