Sugarmon Villas

The bedrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet, as long as you don’t mind roosters in the morning. The view from the balcony was nice too, and they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in the room after check-out.

The hotel is located in a bit of a no-go area with very little around it. The nearest shop is about a 12-minute walk and the beach around 20 minutes, and the walks aren’t very pleasant. Quite hilly, a bit rough, and very dark at night. I wouldn’t recommend staying there unless you have a car. The rooms are basic with the bare minimum, and we found some cockroaches in the kitchen. We also weren’t impressed by the pool and didn’t feel like using it.

We were a very last-minute booking (3pm). Whitney met us when we finally arrived close to 7pm, gave us a tour, found chargers since we were not prepared to overnight and offered us a late checkout. The place was clean, modern, good toiletries, strong water pressure with quality linens and comfortable beds. There was water, coffee, tea and sugar available.

The pool is tiny and there is a carpet grass which was wet and muddy in the entry way.

Beautiful views. The manager was very nice and helpful.

Due to the location, not having a vehicle was inconvenient.

Absolutely incredible view from the room, facilities were amazing and the location is great to base yourself out of to travel around yourself. Rooms are spacious with enough facilities to cook for yourself and everything was very clean. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating too, thank you!!
