Villa Tengkek Karimunjawa

Matsuri et son équipe feront de votre séjour un pur enchantement - la villa est placée dans un endroit super calme (3 avions par semaine donc pas de crainte avec l'aéroport) - villa très confortable, toute équipée, superbe jardin, plage privée, paillotte pour se reposer, large terrasse, maison javanaise authentique et magnifiquement décorée, un enchantement !

Wonderful villa in beautiful grounds, right on the seafront, with our own private beach. The villa was very comfortable and beautifully furnished, it is clear a lot of thought and care went into the design. The caretaking staff were friendly and very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast provided and also enjoyed the motorcycle hire. One of the best places we have stayed at - highly recommend.

The accommodation is situated in the northern part of the island, which means you are further away from the touristic areas. For us, this was a good thing, as we wanted the secluded tropical island experience. The staff at this accommodation is exceptional. They do everything in their power to make your stay as memorable as possible. Thank you again Masturi and others! The snorkeling tour arranged by the staff was the best we’ve ever had. Because the location is a bit secluded, a private tour is truly private. At the snorkeling spots, we were by ourselves, and the corals were the most beautiful we’ve ever experienced. There are a couple of restaurants nearby where you can order food. For us, this was convenient, as we are a family with two young children. The rooms, the garden, and the beach are private and beautiful. (First time I’ve given a 10 as a review score)

Nothing we didn’t like. The breakfast could be a bit more diverse.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff super attentive and always available, the location amazing, the private beach makes you feel you are in paradise and the owner super responsive!

Tout est parfait pour passer un excellent moment. Nous sommes restés une nuit supplémentaire. La villa est magnifique avec un accès à une belle plage privée. Les conseils de Stephen et Masturi pour les restaurants, road trip sont parfaits. Les employés sont discret tout en étant attentionné. L’endroit est SECURE. Je suggère de prendre des scooters qui vous attendront sur place si vous les demandez.

Was für ein wunderschöner Ort! Wir haben leider nur drei Nächte in der Villa Tengkek verbracht, wären aber sehr gerne viel länger geblieben. Die Villa ist selbst schon ein absoluter Hingucker mit ihrer stilvollen Einrichtung und einer Ausstattung, die es an nichts fehlen lässt. Dazu kommt aber noch die Lage an einem traumhaften Privatstrand und mit viel Ruhe. Und last not least: die Menschen dort! Stefane und sein Team sind unfassbar herzlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hoffe wirklich sehr, dass wir es noch einmal zu diesem tollen Ort schaffen werden!

Villa Tengkek was no doubt one of the highlights of our Indonesia trip. Both the interior and exterior are stunning. The house is beautifully decorated with a clear eye for art and design and the surrounding garden and private beach are absolutely breathtaking. Stephane and his staff were wonderful, the food excellent, and the were attentive and helpful while you still had complete privacy.

We have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Only regret is that we only stayed 4 nights. We could have stayed much longer and hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful villa in a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of the town (and the mosques). The owner/manager was very friendly and accommodating. He warmly welcomed us and helped secure a motorbike rental for a day. He was also very responsive to messages indicating our needs.

Extra charges for things like coffee, soft drinks, and beer (Rp.90.000 for a large bottle) were a bit steep. 1 load of laundry was Rp.75.000. We were happy to have it done and understanding of the costs given the location; however, the staff argued that the small amount of clothes we wanted washed (and we were very selective purposefully to keep the load small) was 2 loads and therefore 2 x 75.000. Additionally, when our clean laundry was returned to us, there were some articles (including a pair of underwear) that belonged to the owner/manager giving us the impression that our laundry may have been mixed with his while washing, which evoked an uncomfortable feeling. Additionally, on our second night in the villa, we lost power which caused a rude awakening. It got quite hot in the 1.5hrs it was off, and we found out it went off because the pulsa had not been paid/topped up. Needless to say, we didn't have a great night's sleep that night.
