Peddlers Cottage was clean & spacious. Very comfortable bed and strong shower. Walkable to Main Street. A lovely touch with a bottle of fizz in the fridge and the complimentary wine tasting was great! Highly recommend a stay here.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Es gibt keinen Plan, wo die einzelnen Häuser sind. Wir sind eine halbe Stunde auf dem Gelände herumgeirrt und mussten Spaziergänger nach unserer Unterkunft fragen. Gebucht hatten wir das Colton Cottage und das Peddlar Cottage, durch die direkt daneben liegende Hauptstraße unerträglich laut. Es wurde uns die falsche Nummer für die Keybox des Colton Cottage gegeben. Zum Glück konnten unsere australischen Freunde telefonisch Kontakt mit dem Vermieter aufnehmen, sonst hätten wir die Nacht im Auto verbringen müssen. Mitten in der Nacht ist der Strom ausgefallen und die Notstrombeleuchtung hat das Schlafzimmer Stunden grell ausgeleuchtet. An Schlafen war nicht mehr zu denken. Die reinste Folter. Die erwähnte Möglichkeit für ein Frühstück nebenan besteht erst ab 10h. Die Terrasse mit Stühlen und Tisch machte einen sehr ungepflegten Eindruck.

The size of the property was great with two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen with amenities.

The whole property had a horrible odour. It is hard to pinpoint what the odour was, it appeared to be a mixture of damp, animal feed and potentially an insect treatment. My clothes now have the smell and will all require washing on my return home. This would have been a deal breaker if we had time to complain and book something else. The property is not very private as it is next to a main road, a public thoroughfare and the farm cafe. It is advertised as a B&B but breakfast is only available from 9am onwards, on the days the cafe opens this early, otherwise breakfast is even later than 9am.

I like how relaxing it was and peaceful

Had some dust bunnies under the bed my sister didn't like I would have like to have an oven but we made do with the stove and microwave

Within reach of our target locations for the duration.

Non-disclosure of proximity to both the busy road within 5 metres of our bedroom and visitors to the adjacent cellar door who shared our alfresco space with no separation or privacy. I was aware that our cottage was cedar clad rather than historic stone but not that it was separated from the other two cottages. Consequently. our 'vineyard stay' was more like a roadside motel stay, but more expensive.
