"Stairway to Heaven!"

The villa, grounds and view were exactly as expected from the information provided!! As noted, be prepared for a strenuous steps exercise (180 from the port), but it was worth every step! As the song in America goes, "Stairway to Heaven "!! Paola was very nice and accommodating! We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary with an informal Wedding Vow renewal ceremony, and it was spectacular!! You almost don't want to leave the villa and beautiful grounds and panoramic views to tour the surrounding areas!

Only suggestion would be two additional lounge chairs, a microwave and toaster. Relatively insignificant compared to ball of the positives!!

I will never forget this completely unique villa. The view over Portovenere is gorgeous. We walked down into the village to get fresh pastries for breakfast every morning and back up to the villa to eat them in the stunning gardens. The town is lovely. Paola is a wonderful host. If you get the chance to stay here, leap at it!

It was perfect. The steps could be an issue for some but weren't for us.
