The property was beautifully restored and very traditional. It was spacious and had a relaxing atmosphere. It was nicely tucked away in a quiet but central part of Chefchauen. The host was very helpful and kind and helped us with organising onward transportation. The breakfast was traditional and very high quality food.

The only thing that could be improved is the wifi signal as you couldn't connect in all parts of the house. Note there are no televisions in this property so you need to be prepared for a screen detox.

Amazing villa, exceptionally clean and quiet. The hosts are amazing, and they came to cook breakfast for us in the morning. One of the best stays of my life!

I loved everything

De gastvrijheid van Mohamed was top – hij was erg behulpzaam en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen welkom voelden. Lalla Ghayta zit op een top locatie naast de Bab Al Souq. Daarnaast was het ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en heerlijk. Het verblijf zelf was ruim, mooi ingericht en we hebben er uitstekend geslapen.

Eigenlijk niets – alles was goed geregeld en naar wens.

Our stay at this riad in Chefchaouen was truly special from start to finish. Communication before arrival was great, and once we got there, Mohammed met us on the street and personally walked us to the riad. It was actually pretty easy to find with Google Maps, but that extra touch made us feel taken care of right away. The moment we walked inside, we were blown away. The riad is absolutely breathtaking. Even though we arrived early and the rooms were still being cleaned, they welcomed us in, gave us a full tour, and let us drop our bags. Mohammed shared the history of the riad and the family behind it, which made the experience feel so much more personal. One really unique detail is that the current owner wrote a book, more like a research piece, about the cultural stories of Chefchaouen, which was such a cool touch. The setup of the riad is perfect, especially if you’re traveling with a small group or family. There are only two rooms, so we had the entire place to ourselves. One room has a private bathroom and a bed, while the other has two twin beds and no bathroom. That second room also had a hidden crib behind a curtain and toys for kids, which was thoughtful. There’s also a small library with a mix of books (including kids’ books) and a desk, a terrace on the second floor, and a rooftop on the third floor with beautiful views. The third floor also has a laundry area where you can wash and iron clothes at no extra charge, with drying done on the rooftop. Breakfast was included and beautifully set up each morning. The first day it was on the terrace, which was stunning, but we had to move inside because of bees and they handled it immediately without any issue. The next morning, they had it set up inside from the start, which we appreciated. They also made fresh eggs and omelettes upon request, and kept us stocked with bottled water daily. Everything in the riad worked perfectly. The AC was cold, the water was hot, and the pressure was great.

Très bien rénové, la décoration et l’histoire de la maison étaient fabuleuses. L’accueil, la gentillesse de Mohamed et les petits déjeuners de Fatima étaient délicieux ! Le tout avec une propreté au top!
