Villa Mount Royal

A very nice stay overall. While it was not flashy it was a lovely place to stay, the beds were comfortable, some stains on the sheets though not in key areas of laying, the shower didn’t drain well so the water overflowed into the bathroom. Basic body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided, the staff were very kind.

Beautiful property in the middle of Pedro estate. All the staff and management were very kind and helpful to our needs. Our room was exceptionally clean and very spacious the bathroom was huge and modern. Our views onto the tea estate was gorgeous. Breakfast was also excellent. We were able to walk to closeby restaurants and felt perfectly fine.

Staff is super friendly Helped us take luggage to the room Had balloons in for valentines. We didn't ask any special things but I appreciate them taking a genuine effort, made us feel welcome. Rooms are good sized with a good view from the balcony overlooking a tea estate.

Slightly away from the city but you'll always find tuk tuks via Pick me app or the hotel can arrange it for you. Not really a negative. Not sure if the AC or TV worked as we tried once and didn't bother asking to fix. Just enjoyed the cold weather and good views from the balcony.

Small balcony but ok for a one night stay

Staff was not particularly helpfull (no reply on booking chat). The heating device of the room was very ancient (not proper for 2025) being very loud and not appropriate to use it while sleeping. The breakfast was very poor.

Stunning setting and beautiful rooms. Staff were very attentive and we enjoyed many fun interactions with each of them. Meals were great and it was thoughtful to provide packed breakfasts for our very early Horton Plains walk. Special place and special people!

A couple of drainage issues in the shower.

The room was not cleaned prior to the handover. There were bottles lying around. Even after asking them to clean after day 1 they did not clean. Breakfast is worse and not great. Just couple of bread loafs and eggs and sausages. No great options and the fruit juice were all stale. The WiFi isn’t great and doesn’t work most of the times. The pool table is just for a show and it’s not in use. They have a small fridge which doesn’t work. There is just one dim light in the room. That also kept blinking all through the night after we switched it off. They have a tv but with no remote and no connection what so ever. What’s shown in the image is nothing compared to reality. The commode seat is broken. Pathetic. Not value for money. You will get so many other nice places for this price. Staff isn’t responsive. The manager doesn’t take any feedback’s and doesn’t respond to any feedback. No actions taken to complaints.
