Odyssey House

Odyssey House is a beautiful, traditional house in the centre of Chania within walking distance of everything. We loved feeling like we were in an authentic building with original features, nestled in a car free area, and with the freedom of a kitchen to prepare our own food. We are a family of four with young adult children and there was plenty of space for everyone. Xenia and Costas were so helpful and welcoming.

The location was excellent and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and served our needs perfectly.

We didn’t have any issues but those who can’t climb stairs would have trouble.

The owners, who live next door, are particularly pleasant. Could not have been more helpful or more concerned that we had a lovely holiday.

Local music from restaurant next door could be a little intrusive but we resolved this by staying out late at various bars and restaurants. So not a problem.

We absolutely loved the house. It was full of character and history. We totally loved the location. Walking distance to everything. The hosts, Costa and Xenia were amazing. No question was too hard. We loved sitting with Costa outside the house and talk history of the area and Crete in general. We learnt heaps!!!

This was one of the nicest houses we have stayed at on holiday. The owners, Costas and Xenia, were just lovely - Welcoming, kind and informative. The house itself is very well-located in the heart of the old town and a 15-minute walk to the Nea Chora beach, which we visited regularly on our trip. The house was also a cool retreat in the July Southern Europe heatwave which we encountered. It was easy to 'pop back and pop out'. The restaurant next door was great too! We will be back!

Unbeatable location in old town Chania in an extremely unique home with wonderful hosts. Xenia and Costas were so kind and accommodating. A great option for groups as the house has many different spaces to relax in and it’s location means that there’s something for everyone just outside the door. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Odyssey House.

We had such a lovely stay at Odyssey House! The facilities were perfect with three comfortable rooms for each of us and our host was beyond welcoming. We enjoyed the patio in the sun and the kumquat liqueur in the fridge. Walk to the harbour was about 2 minutes and some chill, local bars just around the corner. Street was gorgeous, house was all wooden and fresh. All wonderful - thank you! :)

The space itself is gorgeous and unique. the location is perfect. But the owner Costas is the best part of the stay. so kind and knowledgeable and helpful.
