The property is extremely secure and located a stone throw away from the dam with amazing views. The property has access control and security is priority.

Everything was superb. The host was very responsive and very helpful and very trustworthy. Great service received. Cannot fault anything during the stay

The house is in a great location with exceptional views.

The safety of the property and attitude of the host is a concern. Some of the issues reported included: - a used condom found in a bedroom drawer, - Back door had to be left open on night 1 as handyman couldn't find key, consequently we were unable to sleep - despite messaging contact numbers no action was taken until the following afternoon so we were unable leave the property - entire handle on bedroom window missing so unable to shut despite it being repaired the following afternoon - plug behind bed started to smoulder due to bad wiring - electrical sockets dangerously overloaded so we were unable to use Internet if we wanted the other fountain or lights to work - bare wires where extractor fan cover had been removed in the bathroom and door had previously been broken down so didn't shut properly, consequently we were unable to use the bathroom - no working lights over BBQ area or verandas so unable to use either once dark - no working oven (this had previously been damaged as the veneer on cupboard over the oven had been warped) - black mould and awful smell in kitchen - Stranger appeared in the back laundry room unannounced we later found out that she was instructed to do ironing there (possibly an employee but we weren't made aware prior to her arrival) - very poor communication. On arrival we were given two contact numbers, one for "Fuzi" and one for "Daniel" but nothing wrt host. We had no idea who the host was until we were driving off on last day and recognised him from the photos on booking com. We later found out that he was Fuzi, the person we were instructed to ring each time we left or arrived at the house. On discovery of the condom on our last day we contacted the property via booking.com as opposed to the numbers for Fuzi and Daniel and were offered a R1000 cash refund and a 2 day free stay. This we declined as they were requesting bank details instead of going through booking.

To get in the accommodation it took us more than 30mins, the host didn't even know we needed a pin to get in and out and each car needed there own pin. Phoned him multiple times eventually he had no idea of a code. Arrived Friday pool was only cleaned 3hours later only once during our stay, Saturday morning insects was full in pool and pump was not working a big disappointment for the kids. No insect repellent was provided, at night the insects was so bad that it covered all the windows and we cudnt open the doors. No aircons only ceiling fans. There was loadshedding and for such an expensive place you would think there would be a generator. The house was not clean there was insects in the cupboard and beds. One bathroom sink was over flowing the pipe was not working. There is small fountain which never worked from the time we got there. At check out he focused on that only and made it as if we broke it. And kept the deposit saying they will get the people to give a quote and fix. We checked out on a Sunday at 10am and by Monday it was fixed in 5mins. He lied and stated it was still not fixed and waiting for quote. It has been 7days n he still claims that the fountain is not fixed and not going to refund. This dishonesty really made us disappointed as we always book through booking.com and to have such liars on this app is disgusting and should be taken up. This man and his wife are unprofessional and dishonest and should be removed from this app immediately before they do this to another family. What was meant to be a happy fun filled get away turned into a horrible nasty insect infested place with rude bad mannered hosts that are not loyal.
