The best sea view in Madeira - Casa Farol

The location was perfect as we were looking for something away from the city. Amazing sea view everyday. We were there for more than a week and had a memorable stay at the property. Nearest coffee place is 5-6 mins drive. The property is well stocked with utensils, coffee machine etc. All you need is supplies to cook. Best would be to shop in super market in Calheta or Funchal. The host was available and was kind to check via message if we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

miałem przyjemność spędzić cztery dni w tym uroczym miejscu z żoną i córką. Pierwszą rzeczą która zaskakuje to steryna czystość jak na sali operacyjnej. Piękny widok, pełne wyposażenie kuchni, duża lodówka, mikrofala, piekarnik. Zestaw ogrodowy, super utrzymany trawnik. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem, szybka reakcja, czujesz się zaopiekowany. Łóżka z średnio twardymi materacami (dla nas super), dużo poduszek, czuliśmy się jak u siebie w domu. Chce się wrócić!

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful house. It's a very beautiful and clean house, with everything neatly arranged and nothing broken. There is convenient parking near the house (but it's better not to try with very large cars). The house has all the necessary appliances for a comfortable stay, as well as an outdoor table, chairs, and sun loungers. The window offers a stunning view of the vast ocean.

Zeer rustig, prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan vanuit de tuin en de balkons, ruim, mooi ingericht, zeer comfortabel, lichtrijk, goede badkamers, uitstekende airco in elke kamer, tuintafel en -stoelen om buiten te eten. Prima uitgeruste keuken en kookgerei (er was ook wat olie, peper en zout aanwezig). De responsieve eigenaar heeft op onze vraag aangegeven dat er naast een koffie doorloop machine nog een espressomachine wordt aangeschaft. De inrit is niet handig (zie andere reviews), maar als ik op de weg van beneden kwam, geraakte ik er vrij makkelijk in (midsize huurauto). Ligt op een helling in een woonwijk, er is een uitkijkplatform nog een kilometer meer naar beneden op de weg, met mooi zicht op Paul do Mar, waar kan gebarbecued worden. Er wordt (nog steeds - zie reviews van vorig jaar) gewerkt aan een nieuw huis aan de overkant van de straat beneden, maar toen wij er waren, waren dat enkel pleisterwerken (weinig lawaai/last) en enkel van 8u30 tot 17u (het is nogal moeilijk om op Madeira geen werf in de buurt te hebben trouwens).

Die Lage des Hauses ist aussergewöhnlich! Viel Platz im und um das Haus, schöne Ausstattung.

Our family had perfect and one of the calmest stays in our travel history at Casa Farol. The beds a comfortable - not too soft - which is our preference, kitchen has all tools you need for your daily breakfast, lunch or dinner, rooms are clean and spacious. The view from the villa is the most relaxing and exiting! I would recommend it for everyone. Thanks to host Orlando for our pleasant stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Orlando's house, it was even better than we expected. The house is well maintained, has everything you might need, and the view is just amazing. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Be aware the ramp to the house's own parking lot is very narrow. This is however not an issue, since you can just park at the gate, or even on the street, which is what I would recommend if you are not a skilled driver.

180 degrees ocean view, sunsets like in a movie, absolutely lovely house with all you need. Really good facilities, including air con - you can heat, dry or cool whole house instantly. Best choice for families.

Very peaceful and relaxing location - well off the beaten track - Spacious comfortable well equiped accommodation that feels like living at home. Good Internet allowed streaming services from the UK. All the necessary facilities and equipment to self cater - although its quite a long way to a decent supermarket for provisions.

Not a criticism - there is no alternative - but be warned the driveway is very tight and steep (as are most in Madeira) so dont hire any bigger rental car than you need to.
