Villas Vistabella

Excellent property for a family .Plenty of room , a great pool, very clean.

It was in a location we were familiar too. Was big enough to have family stay with us.

This is a long one. This is the complaint I made to Booking.com and Vista Bella (who claim they have nothing to be held accountable for - please read on before considering booking this accommodation) We booked to stay in the Villa Vistabella. The Villa advertised on booking.com gave an address number of 88 and all the reviews given by customers spoken of excellent cleanliness, and great accommodation. Leading up to our arrival we received a message from Maria telling us our villa number was 90. We thought nothing of it until we arrived. We were clearly in the “poor relations” accommodation. This property was not up to the standard advertised and quite frankly was not safe. Unfortunately what should have been a lovely relaxing time was not. We spent a lot of our time out of the accommodation (which wasn’t our initial plan - given that we had booked a private villa). Looking through my photographs I am dismayed at the fact that there are more pictures of the problems with this accommodation rather than the good times we had (or should have had). Problems that we had:- 1. On arrival at the accommodation it was very apparent that there was a terrible smell of dampness. We arrived early hours of the morning so didn’t investigate until later in the day. 2. There was no hot water. It turned out that the water wasn’t even switched on. Why would this be the case if Villa was being used regularly? 3. The en-suite bathroom was covered in mould, the tiles were cracked in the shower (further issues to follow) the screen leaked which resulted in the floor flooding every time we took a shower (we had to use towels to prevent the water going under the door and into the bedroom) the bidet didn’t spray water. It was more like a hose!! There was a contact lens stuck to the wall beside the mirror!!! Clearly not cleaned at all before our arrival 4.

The property was spacious, clean, had everything we needed. Pool was fantastic we took full advantage of the floatation beds that were by the pool from the previous guests. The bbq was great for a cook night on the veranda.

The host Maria is superb and could not be more helpful. Responds so quickly and lovely to deal with. The Villa had Nice spacious rooms, equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay and very clean.

There was nothing we disliked. The accommodation catered for us in every aspect. My only small niggles for improvement would be: The privacy netting on one area of the wall near the pool was ripped and exposed. The pool net was missing from the pole so we could not scoop up debris or anything ourselves (we had a few very windy days so there was some small bits to pick out). The parasol was broken at the base so we didn’t or couldn’t adjust it. The barbecue has almost fallen apart and we took great care in our use of this but decided not to continue as it was difficult to manage. The en-suite bathroom door is a bit stuck and the tap in the sink needs small maintenance.

The villa was very clean and the pool was fab. We paid to have it heated and the difference was incredible. Thestaff we lovely to deal with. Everything you need is in the villa. That was our 2nd time visiting and we plan on going again next year. Brilliant holiday.
