YerbaBuena Lodge

We had a great stay at the lodge. The king size bed was phenomenal after traveling around the country and only finding queen sized beds (I'm super tall). The location was beautiful and the owners were extremely welcoming. The lodge grounds were immaculate and there was a really nice breeze coming through the property and through the massive sliding windows in the room. There was wildlife visible from the windows in our room which was really cool to see.

At no fault of the owners (we didn't complain either) the people staying in the room next to us had several small children. They cried, ran through their room and were yelling loudly, which unfortunately was very loud in our room. If this lodge had been adults only, im not sure we would have ever left.

Das Grundstück ist schön und die kleinen Häuschen sind niedlich.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist weit weit ab von allem und ein kleiner Supermarkt und ein Restaurant in der Nähe haben ab nachmittags geöffnet. Die zuständige Person beim Check-in war unglaublich unfreundlich und frech. Ich kam eine Stunde vor Check in und wollte meinen Rucksack deponieren. Da ich kein Bargeld hatte, wollte ich später bezahlen, jedoch wurde mir gesagt, dass man das Zimmer nicht freihalten könnte und man hat mich dazu gedrängt, zu stornieren. Das habe ich nicht gemacht, weil es kostenfrei nicht möglich war und musste somit per PayPal mit einer erhöhten Gebühr bezahlen. Hätte man das alles freundlich erklärt, wäre es verständlich gewesen, aber die Art und Weise war katastrophal. Zudem war sonst zu keinem Zeitpunkt ein Ansprechpartner vorzufinden. Außerdem war es sehr sehr kalt und es gab keine Heizung, lediglich einen kleinen Ofen, den man aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht über Nacht anlassen konnte.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The location is also great. Close to reserves and restaurants by walk and few minute car ride to more. We liked the shared area as well.

The water from shower was not hot and we were with a baby so it was hard to bathe him. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend as the roof is not well isolated and you hear loud branches fall on the roof all day/night. The tv in common area was not working the best. Also, I know they do not list TV in amenities, but would be nice to have one in the room.

Everything, rooms are super nice, clean and comfortable, huge bed! The shared dining room kitchen in the middle of the grounds is so nice to have, and the grounds are full of wildlife, I could have stayed for a very long time!

Had to take the single room for 1 night as the larger rooms weren't available. It was comfortable and had different amenities that the larger room didnt have The single had a coffeemaker and toaster oven in the room, large fridge and tea lights to provide a lovely amount of light in the dark nights. The bathroom was small but the hot water flowed and it was clean. Loved the large deck to sit and watch the critters and birds roam throughout the large yard
