Villa L'Oiseau Bleu

Excellent emplacement si vous êtes golfeur ! Maison très agréable.

Truly enjoyable and memorable experience in a safe, gated area of Essaouera. The villa is spectacular, fitted with beautiful spacious rooms, an inviting warm decor and a lovely pool and well equipped kitchen. The host André is a lovely and kind fellow. Overall this spot is highly recommended for the right blend between luxury, practicality, proximity to the center, and security.

Good location on a private gated golf estate so quiet and felt safe. Pool was heated and warm (Oct). Handy to have Nadya cook and do shopping (10€ service charge each time plus grocery costs).

Some areas in need of maintenance, missing tiles in the pool, some worn looking furnishings (and towels/ bathrobes), damp patches in the bedrooms and kitchen ceiling. Second bunk room is a tiny maid’s room with very basic bathroom. 200MAD (20 euro?) each way to/ from the Medina. Didn’t like the 500€ in cash damage deposit as don’t like carrying cash while balancing luggage and kids, didn’t feel a very secure way to do this. Good stay but not reflective of photos.

The house is very nice, clean, has a generous amount of kitchen utensils, nice pool and great location on a golf course.

There are 2 villa's. We didn't end up in villa l'Oiseau Bleu but in the villa next door. Our villa had 4 bedrooms instead of the 5 villa l'Oiseau Bleu has. 4 bedrooms was absolutely fine for us but it is nice to know this before you book. The owner said it was mentioned on our booking, but this was not the case. I found this a bit misleading. The airco didn't work in the living spaces and in 3 of the 4 bedrooms for our whole stay, which was very inconvenient. We had to leave the windows open at night as the bedrooms became too warm to sleep but as a result we had many mosquito's in the bedrooms.

We loved everything, the peace the cleanliness and the comfortable beds.

It got a little warm and the AC wasn't really that powerful, but this could just be personal preference. Everything was great.

Location was amazing, right on the golf course! A beautiful villa with a view over the ocean from it's roof terrace. The place is located in a gated community so it's a safe homebase to leave your things. The concierge makes delicious meals on request for an amazing price!

The pool heating was broken, so we didn't get to enjoy a heated pool. The same was the case for a lot of electrical issues, they got fixed by the end of the week but we didn't have outside lights for the first days. The instructions on getting into the property was unclear as we couldn't get past the guards, had to call the owner to figure out what to do.
