Big property and comfortable in the rooms. Roy the guy on site was always helpful and polite.

Tricky location, no taxi driver knew where it was. Also had ants in the property that swarmed any food we left for a short period. Aircon in the living room didn’t really work and was uncomfortable to sit in there.

The house is good for 6 people, we stayed 3 person, it was ok. Staff was very helpfull, was always ready to help when we asked. Located in walking distance to Diniwid beach, and from Diniwid beach you can walk directly to White beach.

No sunbed area or pool, you can mostly stay only inside the house. A lot of cocks and dogs around, so in the night you hear them very well, cause the windows are not soundproof, just be prepared to use the earplugs for better sleep :) I was expecting some seaview, but because all trees are grown, you cant see anything. But these are all small things. PS on google maps it shows a wrong location, thats why our transfer driver couldn't find it first. Look for Villa Ambria, it is 10m close to Villa Franky.

The caretaker made sure everything is smooth. There is always help and everything is safe - I mean when you leave the house, everything is secure.

Regarding LOCATION: The ONLY road going to the property is very steep. It is also narrow, and there is a sharp curve that is a blind spot. Even certain types of vehicles are not suitable for it. For example, an SUV, van, or even a regular car would be too wide. We had to walk down the road to board our van. And SOME EV tricycles/trycs (these are the local public transport that are like "taxis") cannot handle steep roads and are dangerous to use. Make sure you know the type and the capacity of the vehicle you are riding. Sometimes, even the drivers do not know, or they are too accommodating, even though it could be risky. But that said, it is POSSIBLE and not too bad to simply get off at the bottom of that road and walk uphill. For safety, I recommend walking. Even our small kids can do it. Grandparents can do it. Just be aware of this info and consider it when you have people in your group who are not able to handle walking like that. This road is shared with many villas in that location, including the luxurious Diniview Villa Resort. I HOPE THE HOSTS MAKE SURE TO NOTE THIS IN THE PROPERTY DESCRIPTION.

We had a bad previous experience as we were scammed out of $500 by a fictional property in Borocay (note: even though I brought this to bookings.com's attention, that property was still on their site weeks later, so caveat emptor). We were glad to book Franky's after that experience. The best thing about Franky's is the live-in attendant Roy and his lovely family. He was always available to help during power-cuts or with booking transport and the fact they live on the property added to our sense of security when we went out. The property is exactly as photographed and there are three spacious bedrooms and a living area. We were easily able to self-cater and there are small supermarkets very nearby with malls a short trike-ride away. There is also a small beach which has two great restaurants. The property is on a hillside with a main road at the bottom and we could usually pick up a trike there. It is a very quiet neighborhood but only 10-15 mins by trike from the touristy area so it was ideal for a family.

The only thing is lack of AC in the living area (there is AC in the bedrooms).
