Mookanda bungalow

The view is amazing!! peace and quiet with the best morning breakfast delivery! I could sit on the porch for hours. Closeby to the best beaches

I would recommend Mookanda to anyone. Excellent all-round. Superb morning sunrise views, great breakfast ~ Something different every day! Pleasant staff.

All good - no complaints. Couldn't be improved much for the money - good value.

We stayed in a fantastic bungalow with aircon that overlooked the bay. The host was great there is a language barrier but she’s so lovely. There are a couple nice restaurants close to the property but they also have scooters for hire as well to get around the island. We really enjoyed our stay here!

This is review regarding the oldest bungalow with a fan. Mookanda also owns newer ones with red roofs and AC and everyone seems to prise them. 1. Our was very old and run down with holes that allow every creature to crawl in, walls and roof are full of lizards and they make a lot of noise during the night. 2. Plastic covered bed screeching when you move while sleeping 3. No mosquito nets in the windows which should be easy to fix Despite all of above we had fantastic stay and I truly recommend this place.

very old and run down. mold in the bathroom very bad smell. bed bug. and broken mattress. the mattress and pillows need to be changed.

Beautiful bungalow with large terrace in a jungle hillside setting. Spacious with separate kitchen area. All bungalows have partial sea views. 10 minutes walk to Tha Khao beach

The staff are a nice family who run a shop and laundrette on the road which is about 3 min walk down hill from the bungalows. But I found them difficult to communicate with, as my Thai language was limited. I was certain that I had booked the Superior Bungalow (with red roof and better build quality) and the description and photos even showed it on my booking confirmation. But the lady who handles my check in insisted I pay 200 bht extra over 3 nights to upgrade and I didn’t have the mindset or energy to argue. Ended up booking my transfers and tours with other agents around the island

Quiet, easy to relax, the staff was very kind.

Drain pipe was leaking, so there was constant smell and wet floor in the bathroom. The walls and roof are full of lizards, and they make a lot of noise during the night, and you don’t know when someone will crawl out. The bed was very uncomfortable and had some kind of plastic cover underneath the sheets so it was very hot as well. These are all the problems of the old Bungalows with white roof on top of the hill. If you can, get the one with the red roof, we saw they don’t have gigantic holes in roof, and they are well isolated. Probably better beds too.
