Ponta do Sol Villa

We liked the villa as soon as we saw it. The host provided great communication and kindly met us at the property to show us around. The villa had great views, it was clean, very comfortable and the host made us feel very welcome. They even provided us with some fruit, wine and cheese as a welcome gift in the villa. Everything was perfect with our stay. We said goodbye to our host before we left and felt we had made a good friend. Thank you for a lovely stay. We would love to return one day to explore more of the beautiful island of Madiera.

l'accès à la maison est rendu difficile par une rue étroite et très en pente ; qui demande des manœuvres précises . nous n'avons pas du tout aimé l'état des poêles pour cuisiner ; à changer en urgence !!

Die wunderschöne große Villa ist in Echt noch besser als beschrieben. Es war alles an Ausstattung vorhanden, was man braucht. In der Küche waren sogar Basics wie Kaffee, Salz, Zucker und Öl. Wir waren zu fünft (zwei Paare und ein Teenager). Mit drei Schlafzimmern, zwei Bädern, zwei Aufenthaltsräumen und mehreren Terrassen mit Sitzmöbeln und immer einem Blick auf den Ozean bot das Haus immer genug Platz für Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Die Gastgeberin Gorete war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden empfangen mit einem Abendessen, bestehend aus Shrimps, Süßkartoffeln und dem typischen Brot von Madeira. Wir mussten unseren Aufenthalt spontan um eine weitere Nacht verlängern, da ich einen Fehler bei der Buchung des Rückflugs gemacht habe. Auch da ist Gorete uns gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis entgegengekommen. Ein absolutes Highlight war der Beagle-Welpe von Gorete, mit dem wir mehrmals täglich spielen konnten.

Die Lage des Hauses ist etwas weiter weg von der Stadt und dem Strand - etwa 15 Minuten mit dem Auto geht’s steil nach oben. Für Madeira ist es aber völlig normal. Man kommt um eine Fahrt mit Kurven und steilem Gefälle nicht herum.

Gorete und Joana sind zauberhafte Gastgeberinnen, sehr freundlich. Sie haben immer wieder leckere Überraschungen für ihre Gäste. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und freuen uns schon auf unseren Besuch im nächsten Jahr. Lage und Ausblicke von den Terrassen und Balkonen sind traumhaft. Erholung pur für uns.

Beautiful big house, very well equipped with all that you need for a great vacation and a very lovely host! Gorette is a very nice host, she lives right next to the house and she was always helpful. We had a fantastic vacation and I can only recommend this place!

A D. Gorete é extrema simpatia e sempre disponivel. Tinhamos à nossa espera de receção de boas vindas, bebidas, bolo de mel e bananas. Casa grande, com todas as comodidades, muito confortável e limpa. Suficientemente afastada dos grandes centros urbanos, mas de rápido acesso aos mesmos. Vistas deslumbrantes sobre a encosta da Ponta do Sol e sobre o mar das várias varandas existentes na casa.

Everything ! The house is huge, very well furnished with everything you need to spend a good time ! The view is amazing perfect for sunset and close to Ponta do Sol. Gorette, the host is adorable, she offered us welcome drinks ( beer, wine and juices) as well as some traditionnal food from madere and eggs. She gave us advices for restaurants and was always around if needed. We really loved our stay here and would recommend it to everyone ! Merci pour tout Gorette ! Obrigada!
