Harold House

Location was perfect. We loved the house and it was obvious it was a labour of love. The kitchen, dining, bathroom and bedrooms were well appointed. We could imagine how lovely it would be in warmer weather and being able to enjoy the verandas and the vista.

While it was a little cool to begin with as it took a while for the heating to warm up the whole house (and it was a very cold and bleak day) we enjoyed our night and appreciated the effort that had gone into making our stay as comfortable as possible.

Harold House is a delightfully maintained period house hosted by Jennette, a warm and considerate person.

Everything!! Such an amazing beautiful house and close to main street of Reefton but quiet even so. Breakfast included.

I liked the house Circa 1900. It was my expectation that it had been renovated close to its original condition. The house was warm with the use of heaters. No fires allowed which was acceptable to me. The bathroom and water pressure excellent. Mostly I enjoyed the objets de art and sitting in the lounge with the lamp on enjoying the stained glass doors. The kitchen is modern and we had breakfast provided by the host which was a nice gesture.
