Great location close to everything. Well stocked kitchen.

Poor TV instructions. Spiral staircase to terrace a bit tricky.

"Nice Location and Dog Friendly"

8.0

The location is nice. Not necessarily pretty, as it faces a parking lot, but it is only a block from the beautiful historic center. And since it is a house, there are no shared walls, so it was very quiet. It would be good to add more lighting in the master bathroom (it's very dark). It is a small place, but cozy. There were plenty of coffee pods (yay!), laundry, and dishwasher detergent. It was a great spot for our dog as there are lots of grassy spaces nearby. We walked to a sweet coffee shop every morning for breakfast and had some amazing meals (Pausa) and basically just loved exploring Tavira. It was our third visit to the city, but we always find something new.

The interior courtyard is not really usable. It's tiny (but cute) and getting up the spiral staircase to the roof terrace is really not feasible. So, a sit-able outdoor space would have been nice. Although there is free parking a few blocks away, we were not able to find a spot. We drove around for a while and someone left their spot, thankfully. I imagine this would be even more challenging in the summer, we were there in March. Once you do park, just leave your car as everything is very walk-able!

"If we had the opportunity, we would stay there again."

9.0

The house is very comfortable. It's like having your own apartment located in the best location in a town that we fell in love with, Tavira.

Because of the high ceiling and the location of the heaters, It took a little while to get the place warm. But it was winter time and at night the weather outside was cool and sometimes, cold.

"Lovely way to spend a comfortable week in Tavira"

10.0

The White & Grey House is clean and comfortable, well-furnished and well located. It’s close to restaurants (and very close to a nice pastelaria!), and an easy walk up to the old castle, down to the river, etc.

Finding things was a bit of a treasure hunt, along the lines of “Why, yes— there is an iron! I wonder why it was in that drawer?” —A minor fault compared to how nice the property is.

"After our initial glitch for keys, we really loved this property and its location"

10.0

The only drawback was finding the location. When we were using our gps, it told us to take a left and there was what appeared to be an alley. We ignored. Our mistake. It's between Beco-da Alfeicao and R. Da Liberdade. Once you find Beco, it's the first left turn. It looks like a driveway. It's right after 11b Beco da Alfeicao. On Google maps, you can actually Google white and grey house, Tamira, Portugal and it will come up. They were doing construction on the small street and parking was a challenge there. We just walked a block and a half to the left and found public parking that you paid at the meter. We didn't find any other free parking except the limited parking right outside the house. Just bring euro coins and you'll be fine. At night time, the machines are able to register that you don't have to pay after a certain hour and it credits you for the next day. You don't have to get up early to feed the meter. We never had a problem getting a parking space. We really loved the property. We walked through the alley between our street and LA liberdade and there were plenty of restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores and anything else you could want to our right, including a bus terminal. A lot of the restaurants on the left side of LA liberdade were Tapas places but towards the middle of the main square if you took a right, there were plenty of other restaurants. Also, at the end of the main Square a little bit on the left side straight ahead of you is a small bridge. At the end of that bridge is also a lot of restaurants and some of them are even on the water. We ate at the Black Anchor and it was really good. On the way back, we stopped at Delizia da Ponte for ice cream. You won't be sorry if you picked this place. It's really wonderful. It's well maintained and looks well cared for.

The challenge WE had in finding it. Others may not. Once you arrive, you will wait about 15 or 20 minutes until the owner comes with the keys. If you just time it so that you're there at the same time, you won't have to wait. Our first night there, we drove down the alley and turned right and took the last space before the construction. The next morning our car was keyed. Not the owners fault but something a tenant should know. This was the 5th space when you turn right. I mentioned this in case the construction is gone. Apparently, someone opposite this space must park there all the time and I didn't know this. Use Luzcar rental. It comes with extra driver and full ins.
