Lucky Crane Villas

The staff was great and super friendly. Peaceful surrounding areas. Great views. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. Nearby stores stock essentials which is also cool.

Few bugs in and around because of the area. Mosquito nets, Peaceful sleep and Doom was provided did help though.

The house is fully sustained by Solar, so even Level 6 loadshedding was not even noticed. The house is in a quiet location so it is very peaceful. Also within less than 3 minutes drive from all of the restaurants. Never needed it, but there is a washing machine and dishwasher if you are that way inclined. Lovely swimming pool for the hot days and an aircon in the bedrooms really helped with sleeping comfortably in the heat. Fridge and freezer more than adequate for a few days stock. Beds are four-posted and fully encased in mosquito nets (trust me it is an necessity in a small town with hot weather). Communication was superb from the host and she was even considerate enough to let us know early the morning that we could take our time with check out if we wanted as they did not have a booking for that day. I have NEVER experienced that kind of consideration from a host before.

<Rather a suggestion>The swimming pool is wonderful, but exposed to the sun, so maybe an outdoor umbrella and stand would help guests enjoy the pool more on those blazing hot days.

We really loved staying at the Laughing Dove. For us, it was perfect; it had everything we wanted, was really clean, and gave us privacy to really relax and enjoy the rest for a couple of days. The check in- and out was very easy and it is honestly a pleasure to stay at one of the villa’s. We regret not staying longer so we definitely come back some time :)
