The staff at check in and check out were fantastic! The overall design of the property and the room are great, especially if you love concrete walls! Wasn't the biggest fan of the ceiling wallpaper in the Standard Villa but I expected that when booking the room.

The Standard Villa had some design features that I found as odd choices. The entrance door was a sliding floor to ceiling frosted glass door that faced the road/driveway so other guests walking by could at least see silhouettes of inside your room if you didn't close the curtains. There was also a gap in the sliding door that allowed ants to get in. There were no lounge chairs set out on the deck. I think the Standard Villa is the only room with this kind of door.

One of my best hotel stays ever! The hotel staff is extremely friendly, helpful and trying to accommodate English communication. The rooms are amazing and exactly as shown on the images; beautiful design, clean and offering the necessary amenities. The views are breathtaking!

I loved everything!

Absolutely stunning accommodation and location. The sunsets were amazing. So was the breakfast.

For this price category, I would appreciate bike rental and definitely snorkel gear rental to be complimentary. I don’t think I should pay about 1800 yen to borrow a diving mask and a snorkel when the rooms are this expensive.

The location was good with waterfront views, and local restaurants were within walking distance (approximately 1 kilometer away).

The beach by the units is quite narrow and not ideal for taking a long walk. There are much better beaches in the area, so although the views are wonderful, someone who is expecting to spend the day on the beach or swimming right by the accommodation may be disappointed. That said, other beaches are not far away, providing you have transport.

The closeness to the beach makes a great location for this hotel. The view is amazing thanks to those huge windows. The greens separating the room to the beach give a descent privacy. The whole room is very functional and very spacious. It is as well an architectural experience which makes it unique. The quietness of the street and the neighborhood enhances the peacefulness of the hotel. We can’t wait to come back!

It would be nice to be able to hear the waves from the apartment by opening windows or the door. Adding a mosquito screen to the door would give you this option. Being able to seat on long chairs or hammock on the terrace or the beach would be a big plus. We were in room 1 and we had no seat outside to enjoy the terrace.

We spent an amazing few days at Denpaku The Beachfront Mijora during our recent trip to Amami. The hotel architecture was amazing and did a great job of leveraging the beachfront location. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable after a long day of activities. The breakfast each morning was a real treat.
