Definitely not value for money

We had bad experience from the time of check in to the room size for 3 persons .Also the room is to small to accommodate 3 person in one room

It was a beautiful homestay centered around a warm and inviting courtyard where we sat in the mornings and had a cup of tea under a beautiful tree and pondered our next bit of adventure for the another splendid day in Goa. The host Ruben was very charming and contacted us before we arrived at the property to see if anything was needed... We felt welcomed from the offset and were offered a wonderful home cooked meal on arrival of which we partook and we were not sorry at all. It is centered around a beautiful family home. The restaurants and bars were well within walking distance. The food in this area was divine. This is a down to earth, warm and charming choice.

Villa Barbosa is a home stay (not a hotel) and all services are provided by a caretaker ... The owners of the Villa stay at the property and make every effort to make your stay comfortable ... the Villa itself does not have a restaurant but Reuben (the owner) can provide food services, car hire services or any other service you may be looking for to make your stay comfortable ... the check in and check out process is smooth and effortless and the Villa itself is an oasis of peace and tranquility ... it is also in 7-12 minutes walking distance to cafe's, market areas and the Sernabatim beach ... we were a family of 9 in all and our stay was made memorable by Reuben who assisted us in innumerable ways ...

It's a cosy comfortable house in a very good location - it's not far from the beach, many shops and restaurants around. The owner Ruben is the most welcome man!) I recommend this place.

Palm trees grow around the house and there is a beautiful view from the window. The beaches of Sernabatim and Benaulim are nearby.

We booked 2 nights and extended to 4 nights. This place is such a nice place. You can just walk to everything you need. It takes 15 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to the next restaurant street. It feels like everything is slowing down here and you really can relax. The owner and his father are just lovely persons and will help you with everything you need. You can reach out to them at any time and they will do everything to help you out. 5 minutes after I booked I got a call from them if we need any help to get there so they organized a driver. I would stay here at any time again. Also it’s very clean and if you get the chance to have a conversation with Ruben or his father both are really lovely and can tell you a lot of story’s.

Absolutely wonderful place. Greeted by both the owner and his caretaker who helped with our bags and guided us to our room. Complete with big smiles :-) . Despite the late hour, arranged some dinner for us (it had been a VERY long trip) which was absolutely delicious and very reasonable cost-wise. Welcoming, clean and very comfortable indeed. The guest accomodation is great and attached to the owner's home -- a stunning 400+ year old Portuguese style tradtional Goan villa with beautiful gardens and surroundings. Rooms were excellent with fridge, kettle, great shower, nice cold air-con and VERY comfortable beds. The balcony on the room (with table and chairs) was a fantastic bonus to sit with a drink or two and watch the World go by. Lovely! Great location only a four/five minute tuktuk ride (or a ten minute walk) away from Benaulim town and beach. Exceptional host (Reuben) who could'nt have been more helpful, with advice, guidance and genuine friendliness. Just the loveliest person! Also must be mentioned is the Caretaker (I forget his name - sorry!) who was almost always on hand to deal with any issue. I would heartily recommend Villa Barbosa to anyone looking to stay in the area. We'll definitely be back!
