Villa Ravensteyn - Camps Bay Luxury Villa

The location was perfect

very clean, spacious and a very beautiful view of the ocean. absolutely amazing

that i had to pay full price upfront.

nice location and great view from the master bedroom as well as living room and terrace. the staff on site who were present most of the time, were very courteous and tried to resolve the myriad of issues that we experienced, unfortunately not in the expected time frame. the villa is well equipped and clean. security is well addressed.

we experienced various issues that certainly dampened the overall holiday mood. the various power outages led to a non-availability of water at irregular intervals which was supposed to be overcome by installing two water tanks. however, these were only fully functional during the second week of our stay. the musty smell in one of the bathrooms was taken care of after a few days when plumbers were called in. the generator only served the lights and wifi and did not extend to the master bedroom. additionally, due to a missing silencer the generator could not be used at night. a promised refund for all these issues, is still pending which is unfortunate.

The view was stunningly breathtaking, quality finishes, appliances and decor. Minimalistic luxury. Seamless indoor-outdoor living. Sound system is a nice touch. Host gives you full control and privacy however, John was great, highly responsive and came to the property when we needed him - even on the holiday! Thank you for the extra mattress + bedding. Security is tight - you feel very safe. The board games, library and bikes are a thoughtful addition to the villa’s offering - the kids really enjoyed the rides to the beach and exploring the surrounding area. Oh and the memorable sunsets from the deck! Highly recommended - we hope to visit again soon!

There were some plumbing issues that lead to flooding and slow drainage in the bathrooms. It would’ve been nice to have proper/working aircon in the bedrooms. Cleaning will cost R450/day so that’s a cost you’ll need to be aware of. Maybe reconnect speakers in the kitchen/bar area.

The host was amazing, view was out of this world. Rooms were exceptionally clean and beautiful.
