The Griya Villas and Spa

Our stay at The Griya Villas & Spa was simply amazing. The views are breathtaking, the villas spacious and comfortable, and the whole place is surrounded by beautiful greenery. The staff were exceptionally kind, the spa experience was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. A perfect tropical retreat that we would highly recommend.

Fantastisk udsigt fra en virkelig dejlig villa med en relativ stor pool. Et virkelig dejligt sted.

At vi ikke kunne blive længere

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier. Tolle Lage und wunderschöne Aussicht! Die Villa war schön und sauber. An einiger Stellen wäre ein touch up nötig.

Teilweise recht lange Wartezeiten im Restaurant trotz weniger Gäste. Frühstücksgerichte teils mäßig und manche Gerichte, Getränke nicht vorrätig wie z.B. Orangensaft zum Frühstück oder nachmittags Eis

The Jacuzzi didn’t work, and the wifi suck

Our stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, mainly thanks to the very spacious villa – lots of room, great views, and delicious food. Breakfast was included in the price, and the value for money was quite good considering the space and quality.

Unfortunately, the staff felt indifferent and lacked the warmth we experienced in places like Ubud, where the atmosphere was much friendlier and more welcoming. It was noticeable and slightly disappointing. Access to the rooms was a bit difficult – quite a steep uphill walk, so good fitness is a must. However, the hotel does offer transport with a golf cart, which helps. The beach isn't too far, but getting there also involves a steep road from the hotel. Scooter rental was possible, but we faced a few issues: the first scooter we got was damaged, the helmets were old and couldn't be fastened properly (one fell off during the ride), and the rental cost was significantly higher than elsewhere. Plus, there was no clear confirmation if the scooter would be available at the time we requested – we had to keep asking and following up ourselves. Again, this showed a lack of attention to customer service.

The villa had a magnificent view of the sunrise and the Location on top of the hill. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. I loved the pool and the outdoor seating area.
