The water pressure from the bathtub tap was very strong, which was appreciated. However, the hot water was inconsistent and only worked from time to time, so we often had to shower with cold water.

Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations of a 5-star property. The air conditioning was not working properly and had a very unpleasant smell when turned on. The WiFi was also unreliable and didn’t work for almost an entire day, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. We booked what was supposed to be the best villa, yet the sea view was very disappointing. The photos used in advertising are quite misleading and do not reflect the reality at all. The breakfast was also below expectations. There were no bacon or sausages available, and offering salmon as part of an “English breakfast” felt odd and not authentic. Additionally, there was no sparkling water available. The sofas in the bedroom were dirty, and the television felt extremely outdated — almost from another era — with no Netflix or any modern smart TV features. Overall, this property might have deserved a 5-star rating 10–12 years ago, but today it clearly does not meet that standard.

What a dream stay! I'm sure any moment I would wake up. Staff were exceptionally professional, kind, proficient, and helpful. I felt so nurtured and taken care of. The grounds and gardens are so special, the view from my villa is imprinted as what it would feel like to be in heaven. The mountains, sunset, infinity pool, ocean. I couldn't imagine how it could be possible. I felt like a movie star.

It was too far to walk to main area of Amed, however, the facility provides a one-way shuttle service to the centre (Approx 10-15 minutes drive maybe?) twice a day. There is no grab or gojek in Amed, and depending on the time of day, getting transport back was a little tricky and mainly by word of mouth.

We had a lovely stay at The Griya. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The private pool was also nice and clean with a lovely view out to sea. The staff were all very polite, friendly and very keen to please. The food was also great with plenty of choice on the menu and very reasonable prices.

Nothing - we really enjoyed our stay.

Я выбирал отель на 4 ночи в Амеде для фридайвинга. Чтоб можно было погружаться и комфортно восстанавливаться между сессиями. Поэтому важно было, чтобы была большая территория, наличие именно ванны (для опреснения гидрика) и хорошего спа для массажа. Со всеми задачами справились. Еда достаточно хорошая. Массаж тоже. Невероятный вид на долину. Персонал суперфрендли.

Я бы обратил внимание на несколько нюансов: 1. Комары. Да, я понимаю, что это мы у них в гостях, а они у нас. Я живу на бали несколько лет. При этом проблема существенная и балдахин над кроватью нужен. Фумигаторы не справляются. Их не просто много. А очень много. 2. Сырость. Нужно менять фильтры в кондиционерах. 3. Персонал спа комплекса. Одна массажист великолепная. Вторая молодая и абсолютно некомпетентная. Из 5 массажей, что я покупал, пришлось платить за мастера, которая более опытная, потому что после погружения нужно было качественно размять тело.
