Racy Nature Cottage

Hospitable hosts, beautiful and well kept cottage, scrumptious breakfast

The cottage is located short distance from Ella’s centre (30 mins walk/short tuk tuk ride), which means it’s really peaceful- all you can hear is wildlife. The views are stunning- we’ve spent 4 nights here and got up every morning to watch the sunrise from the balcony. We’ve seen so many animals we’ve never seen before- species of birds, fireflies, and a few monkeys. The host is lovely and looked after us so well. She gave us different breakfasts every day and they were delicious- her husbands’ hoppers were the tastiest we had so far. She arranged a really good tuk tuk driver for us and found a guide to help me get to Ella rock, also insisting that I take a packed breakfast. She also helped with laundry. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. It didn’t get too hot, the beds were comfortable and the balcony a wonderful feature. There’s also a little kitchen which I didn’t expect. There’s quite a few restaurants short walking distance from the cottage- the closest is Freedom cafe only a few meters to the left. We ate there every night we stayed here- it’s run by a wonderful family and the food is fresh, delicious and served quickly 😊 they even taught us how to make rottis and took us to a nearby waterfall. All in all we had a wonderful time here- good people, stunning nature, and comfort. I’d recommend to anyone wanting to visit Ell!

The Superior (new) villa was comfortable but was missing items like fridge and gas for the stove in the kitchen, it had a lovely terrace with a good view over the valleys and was 5 minutes tuktuk ride to the station. We spent a night in this and the villa next door and overall the price is reasonable.

The standard villa (old), next door had the same view but was small and dark with limited power outlets, no kitchen or fridge and a very basic old bathroom. The owner, while very friendly, was difficult to understand in English which led to several confusions. She goes to work during the day and her two staff speak no English and provided no service. The so-called breakfast was a joke, everything cold and unappetising. Better to eat at Freedom Cafe next door

kawałek jednak od centrum, co ma plusy, bo widok jest obłędny, ale jednak trzeba pamietac o dojazdach, poza tym przeszkadzało nam naruszanie prywatnej przestrzeni - wchodzenie na taras bez uprzedzenia. odpoczywaliśmy po intensywnym dniu na tarasie i po prysznicu, częściowo w bieliźnie, a właścicielka wchodzi bez uprzedzenia i ustala szczegóły śniadania i wymeldowania

Pani domáca spolu so synom boli velmi priatelski a napomocni . Vsetko bolo v poriadku a ciste.. maju rodinneho prislusnika s TUK TUK za dobre ceny. Odporucam

Sehr sauber und neu, bequeme Matratze und traumhafte Aussicht! Die Besitzer sind auch unglaublich lieb und nett und helfen bei allen Angelegenheiten. Über die Unterkunft kann ein Tuktuk organisiert werden. Auch auf jeden Fall das hauseigene Curry zum Dinner probieren: sehr lecker! Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit dort und wären gern noch länger geblieben! :)

Eine kleine Anmerkung für andere Reisende: wir hatten dort unsere Wäsche waschen lassen und waren leider nicht so zufrieden, dann vielleicht lieber in einer Wäscherei woanders abgegeben :)

Tolle Aussicht, bequemes Bett, ruhige Lage, Wasserkocher und Fön. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und konnte gut schlafen. Nette Menschen. Gutes Frühstück auf dem Balkon.

Die Toilette wirkt etwas instabil, die Wassertemperatur ließ sich schwierig regeln, Kommunikation per WhatsApp war nicht so gut, aber die Kommunikation vor Ort war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Ich hatte bei einem etwas längeren Aufenthalt nur ein Handtuch, aber habe auch nicht nach mehr gefragt.
