Such a friendly and kind host. She went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be. Even waking up at 5 am to make breakfast before our train journey. We loved staying here, the view of sunrise is incredible.

Amazing view. The couple host is incredible and provides any additional service you need like laundry or scooter rental at correct price. Delicious breakfast. Big room, clean, comfortable bed.

Nothing - just precise that it's better to have a scooter to go to the center or any place around as it is a bit remote. The hosts can also book Tuktuk for you.

The most incredible view over the valley from the balcony, where you can sit to watch the sunrise. The family is so welcoming and cooks delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts, as well as dinners on request (for only 1000RS / person). For breakfast, you can choose a selection of coconut pancakes, coconut roti with dhal, omelettes, hoppers, fresh fruit and toast with jam. They offer tea and coffee throughout the day, laundry for a very cheap price and even arranged our tuktuk into town. I felt so well cared for from start to finish, thank you!

The bathroom smells a bit damp and the shower could be more powerful but those are the only small negatives I can think of in an otherwise perfect experience.

Super friendly family hosting us. Very warm welcome, nice and calm location in the jungle. Sunrise is very nice to see from the balkony. The breakfast is delicious and more than you can finish. We had dinner once, which was also very tasty. Mosquito nets available. Its a nature cottage, with some minor always-open parts, so there might be some insects also inside. Don't confuse the very good rating with a 5* hotel. That's not what is being promoted :)

Very very friendly and helpful hosts. They single-handedly organised our follow-on transport to trincomallee, including booking the bus from the neighbouring city, organising a taxi to that city, and the host even went along with us to make sure we got on the bus safely. They genuinely care about guests having a good time. The view from the accommodation is amazing. Delicious breakfast is included and for a good price the host cooks delicious dinner for you. Location is good. Good starting point to hike to Ella’s Rock, 30min walk (or 6min tuktuk) to city centre but there’s also a small supermarket just 3min walk away. WiFi is mediocre, but it’s mediocre everywhere in Sri Lanka.

Warmly recommended. A bit out of town (8-10 min by tuktuk). This homestay has one family room with comfortable king size beds and a balcony with a wonderful view. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is tasty and more than you can finish.

The bedsheet was too short and it didn’t cover the mattress while sleeping. The rest was good!

We had a very nice stay there. The owner and her son were very very welcoming and super helpful! The view is stunning if it is sunny, rain or foggy! You are in the middle of the nature with a great view that you can enjoy from the terrace. The breakfast was very copious and absolutely delicious, as was the dinner we ordered! The bed are very large and comfy, and you can stay with 4 people in the same room. Shower was warm and everything was clean. We had a very relaxing time and we would recommend this place to anyone!

Nothing much! The place is a bit away from the center but this is what you need for the great view you get (its only a few minutes with a tuktuk to go to the city though.)

We had some really good nights of sleep in Racy Nature Cottage. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and more then enough food :). The owners made sure we had everything we needed and where always happy to bring us some extra tea. It's a bit further from the centre what makes the place nice and quiet. One morning we could see the tea pickers from our balcony. We really enjoyed our stay here :).
