Wij hebben onze vakantie hier afgesloten na een rondreis door Sri Lanka en dit was het perfecte verblijf. Een klein besloten resort, lekker rustig en relaxed met "westerse luxes" zoals o.a. altijd warm water, goeie douche, ventilators binnen en buiten, goede WiFi, hygiënisch, lekker ontbijt, goed onderhouden etc. We zijn hier echt tot rust gekomen. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en spreekt ook goed Engels en hebben ons leuke details verteld over het land. Prijs kwaliteit ook echt goed wat ons betreft.voor wat betreft de foto's op booking: what you see is what you get. En dat is deze vakantie wel eens anders geweest...

In de omgeving Thalpe is weinig te beleven al moet ik erbij zeggen dat wij in offseason zitten. Unuwatuna op een kleine 10 mins TukTuk is wel leuk. De Tuktuk was er altijd binnen 10 mins.

The bungalows were just superb. A bit of luxury to start our travels in Sri Lanka. Could not have asked for more. Fabulous breakfasts, short walk to the beach and nice restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay at. Beautiful, calm, relaxing, very clean and well maintained. If you are lucky, monkeys and varans can be seen on the premises. Many services like swimming pool, outdoor shower, good breakfast, laundry, food services, possibilites to have professional ayurveda massage on site. The hosts Dush and Latha are adorable and lovely to speak with and they help you in an excellent way with good suggestions, bookings, places to visit.

This place is incredible. The most beautiful bungalows in the most beautiful setting. The hosts were so lovely and kind. Even went out of the way for us to store our hire tuk tuk and helped when my son cut his finger. The pool was lovely and clean.

We had an exceptional stay at Thalpe Bungalows! The most valuable part of the experience was the personal touch from the owner, who greeted all guests warmly and made everyone feel truly welcome. The entire property was spotless, with everything kept neat and clean, which added to the comfort of the stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive, always ensuring guests felt at ease. All these thoughtful details combined to create a wonderful home-like atmosphere that made the stay unforgettable.

What stands out is that there are only three bungalows so there are many people what makes the place really relaxing, quiet and familiar. Pool is great for kids and service was exceptional friendly.

The TukTuk driver which they call for you charges you way more than normal rates. He asked for 1000 rupees for a route which is on pick me / uber just 250/300!

The bungalow was spotlessly clean and kept that way for the duration of our stay. Breakfast spot on every morning with a nice surprise of a Sri Lankan breakfast one morning, hoppers, coconut sambol, dhal curry and lovely fresh crusty bread. Mmmm. Dush was so accommodating phoning an order for us for meal delivery when we decided to stay in for the evening. He also arranged reliable tuk tuks for us and an airport transfer in a lovely clean air conditioned car. We really enjoyed the chats with Dush and Lata about the Sri Lankan way of life and their families, asking loads of questions which they were more than happy to answer when they could. Nothing was too much trouble and always smiling. Wish them all the best for the future and hope to return to this beautiful island some time in the future. Bohoma Istouti. xx
