The Stable Yard House at Burtown House & Gardens

One of the most breathtaking properties I have stayed at. The history, gardens and the villa itself is a very special experience. Stylish, comfortable, generous in its amenities. Wonderful restaurant on the grounds too. Truly magical.

The location is perfect. Not far away from Newbridge & Carlow. It’s not too far off the motorway so it is easy accessible & although is close to busy roads, it is so peaceful & quiet! The grounds are lovely to walk around. The host is lovely & so helpful! The accommodation is absolutely stunning!

We stayed in the studio apartment, it is absolutely stunning but there is two windows that are high up with no blinds on it so it was very bright when the sun started to rise & as someone who likes to sleep in pitch black, that meant I had an early rise.

The location and grounds are fabulous, also the Green Barn which serves delicious food.

The studio is stunning, restful and a lovely space. Being picky, The shower wasn’t great, not reliable for hot water.

Everything, it was one of the most stunning properties in Leinster. The staff and grounds were simply magical. im keeping this short. just book it you will not regret it. I personally promise.

The design of the house is only something I've seen very few times the care and consideration is to a level which goes beyond a money aspect , staff and grounds and restaurant were all so good

Gorgeous location and restaurant, cozy

Rude and greedy behavior after check out asking for cleaning fees for pets (dogs) although the policy clearly states oets allowed no extra charge. We stayed one night and the dogs did not shed nor do anything beyond the ordinary. Were called disrespectful because we did not want to pay extra despite policy adherence

We loved everything about the Stable Yard, the deco, the views, especially on a misty rainy morning and the sounds of the birds. And as a Garden Designer myself & Peter is a artist,, our walk around the gardens was wonderful. The highlight was we had the great pleasure to meet Leslie, who very kindly nvited us in to see her paintings, a treasured memory.

There's nothing not to like

The gardens and restaurant were absolutely stunning and worth a visit. Very comfortable bed and great location. The room was very beautiful and amazingly decorated. The food at the restaurant was absolutely exceptional and will definitely visit again for a meal. We were allowed to have our dog for no extra charge and the dog was also allowed in the restaurant which is absolutely amazing, many other dogs roaming around the property, all of them very well behaved. The owner was absolutely lovely, explained to us the story of the house and their philosophy, was very helpful and would be most happy to return and have another stay soon.

For the price we paid I was expecting a bit more attention to detail. The towels were frayed and a bit discoloured. A few stains in the bed sheets, found a few bits of trash from previous tenants and the shower wall was very chipped which took a bit away from the luxury feeling of the rest of the apartment which was otherwise perfect. That would not stop me from booking again though, the place was absolutely perfect and the food incredible, highly recommended

Freezing when we arrived, although we were told that heating would be put on constant heat which it was up stairs but couple staying in downstairs bedroom were

The fact that we didn’t have the code for the gated entrance until we arrived at the gate and as we had no mobile number to call to obtain the number, we had to wait for email servers to pick up emails
