Bijia Villa w Private Pool - Peaceful Quiet Luxury Villa - Near Monkey Forest

Nice location, cleanliness, very comfortable beds and babysitting option

We experienced several issues made our stay not so nice and most of all not worth the money: Aircons were really noisy and we turned it off during the first nights: after two complaints (and two nights) they were finally fixed as good as possible but they are old, so after one good night we eventually used earplugs during the night. Overcharging for extra services: Extra charge is clearly communicated, but 15 euro per day for a baby cot is ridiculous, especially for a villa in this price range, and we never anything before. Also pool fence was 400k R/night where elsewhere it was 200k R for a pool twice as high. Communication with manager: we had a ants plague in the bathroom in the evening (toilet and floor were full of them so not usable) and initially they only wanted to solve next day since the was after 5pm until we stressed it was unacceptable not having a toilet during the night. Secondly, we indicated we ran out of gas for cooking at 7.30am with the request to have it replaced by noon, but at 12.00h still no response and had to call twice to get it done. We felt ignored after the issue with the aircons. Staff: staff is friendly but does not speak any English and are around the villa big part of afternoon (or morning) which is not so nice if you want privacy and relax. Request to clean during our absence (what they offered to do) were unfortunately ignored. We are a family with young kids that sleep after lunch so then the house is preferably empty. It might be Murphy’s law in our situation, but please take our feedback serious. We are experienced travellers and normally we are super laidback guests, but did not feel relaxed here. It was definitely not worth the money and caused a lot of frustration.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came as a group of 6 backpackers the first time round, then returned when my family came to visit for a second time. The place is comfortable, clean, private and has everything you need. We also loved our Villa Keeper, Made, as she worked so hard every day to make our stay special, welcoming us with drinks and cold flannels too. Couldn’t recommend it enough :)

Beautiful peaceful place in an authentic neighbourhood not far from the centre . Lovely staff and made to feel like part of a friendly family while being respectful of privacy and peace and quiet

Bit of frog noise at night - light sleepers pack earplugs but we soon got used to the nature sounds

Welcoming staff, clean and located in a quieter area but still had a few decent restaurants, spas and shops. Pool was refreshing.. Nice rooms and comfy beds, all air conditioned. Location wise is good if you don’t need to be close to Ubud centre, we still had good coffee, food and massages.

Not much we didn’t like, being picky there was a noisy frog/gecko in the lounge rafters that never stopped chirping! Villa’s sign was hidden so a little hard for our taxi driver to find. Only noticed bugs at dusk but there were plenty of mozzie coils to light. Also just fyi it looks close to the Monkey Forest on the map but it’s at the back of the sanctuary so you need to walk around to the front.

3 Beautiful rooms with our own privacy. The pool was fantastic as well & the manager Henry was amazing.

Nothing - it was exceptional

This villa is so special, it’s located just a short Grab ride from Ubud centre, in a beautifully peaceful area. The villa itself is perfect in every way, the living & kitchen space is well equipped & welcoming, every bedroom is beautiful & the outdoor showers are amazing! The pool & garden are the perfect space to relax, we came as a family of five & could not have wished for more! The cleanliness is faultless & every detail has been thought of. The owner & staff are lovely & couldn’t do enough for us, they made our stay first class!
