Everything was perfect from the warm welcome from Galina to the end of our stay. The house is equipped with the latest technology appliances which is great! The place is isolated from other people so it's great to get away. We constantly had animals near the cottage which was great!

Style, location and te airconditioning. The owners thought of all the small details. It's all very neat and well cleaned. Also the check-in with Galina was very pleasant. Would recommend would definitely stay again!

Wow – we are so glad we found this place. It’s not directly on the Crocodile River, but instead offers absolute peace, privacy, and a beautiful setting. The house is tastefully designed, high-quality throughout, and spotlessly clean. Spacious living area with an open kitchen, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower and bathtub in the master bedroom. The outdoor area is generous and perfect for relaxing. The covered braai, great lighting, ceiling fan, and the pool (larger than typical splash pools) really stood out. Beds are extremely comfortable, with high-quality linen and plenty of towels. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped – gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker, large fridge, even a traditional potjie pot. Filtered drinking water is available, and there’s also a washer-dryer combo. Wildlife like warthogs, impalas, kudu, and bushbuck regularly visit the property, which was amazing to watch. Reliable Wi-Fi, plenty of power adapters, solar system (no load shedding), and excellent air conditioning. About 20 minutes to Crocodile Bridge Gate. The absolute highlight was the hostess/manager Galina – incredibly kind, professional, and always helpful. The owners were also very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended if you don’t need direct river views. One of the best stays we’ve ever had in Marloth Park. Excellent value for money. 11/10 ⭐️

Amazing location, house was perfect for our stay. Lots of visitors from the local wildlife. Hosts kept in touch and well informed throughout stay. I definitely recommend to anyone else and will come back to stay x

Nothing to not like.

Galina the wonderful host welcomed us and showed us around, she made us feel at home from the first moment and surprised us with a welcome drinks complimentary from the owners. Such a nice touch. Everything in the house is perfect. Beautiful furnishings, well though out, practical yet stylish. Beds are super comfortable, kids loved the outdoors bath tub. Two Braai facilities outside was a treat, we opted for the 'boma' next to the pool. Nice touch to have board games, which we enjoyed. Also very nice to have a big bucket of animal food pellets and Galina had a bale of hay delivered for the animals as well. Just added a something extra to our allready amazing experience. All in all so happy we chose Ostritch Hide. Will most definitely try to visit again as it was one of the highlights of our holiday.

Really well thought out accomodation, beautiful, good kitchen and great place to relax

Oily dusty finger prints on main bedroom walls (above headboard of bed) and bathroom from previous guest or cleaners. Dust on plates and grime inside braai dishes. Air-conditioning units have motion detectors that switches the unit on with movement, unfortunately when you are sleeping it picks up movement beeps loadly and omits a bright blue light, disrupting sleep quite a bit (consider installing timers instead)
