Bunaken Villa Queen's Dive

Maddie juliana was fantastic hosts. The staff was great food was excellent Maddie took ken snorkeling really good time couldn't do enough for you highly recommended. The room was clean and comtable thank you x

All good NO complaints

I was looking for somewhere with a pool to chill by during the day whilst my partner dives. The pool was amazing, cleaned every day and loungers to chill and read a book. The standard room was clean and had one of the comfiest bed I’ve slept in. And the swinging chairs on the balcony were a nice touch. The resort has lots of potential and looks like they are constantly working on it to make it better. Food wasn’t included, dinner was standard Indonesian food, bit pricey but big portions- too big for us. As the resort was very quiet we chose to eat elsewhere for dinner. We enjoyed the breakfast and the owner had the staff bring us complimentary snacks / cake each day which were delicious. The resort is on the roadside not directly on the waterfront, so really depends on what your after, my priority was a pool. this place would be perfect for families that want a pool as they had a very shallow kids pool too. The staff were amazing, Yuliana the owner wasn’t there but she wats app so we had her contact if we had any issues- which we didn’t as Ega, Mae and all the other staff made us feel so much at home. The girls apologised for their lack of English, but it’s way better than our Indonesian! And they communicated well and we had some laughs. It was so lovely to see their big smiles and always laughing with each other. My partner is an experienced diver and had a great time diving with Stefan, Stefan is a great dive master and all the boat crew were great too. He loved the diving. You can snorkel from the waterfront around high tide just across the road in front of the 3will resort approx 3 - 5 mins walk away. Saw 11 turtles during one short snorkel! Left out of the resort and 5 -10 mins up the road is a couple of small bars facing the waterfront and to the right a 10 - 15 minute walk to village and harbour. Bunaken was very quiet when we stayed so we were the only guests so had the pools and place to ourselves!!- was like our own private Villa!

We were the only guests there, so we didn’t eat dinner there as a bit quiet and no one to meet (not the resorts fault as we met other people from other resorts and they were quiet too)

The ladies who work here are very friendly and try to take good care of you, though there English is (a bit) limited. The swimming pool is a nice bonus, as the sea is not always easy to go to due to the currents and low tide. The bed was comfortable and the lounge chairs on the balcony were a nice place to relax. They provided a well organised a dolphin and snorkeling trip and transport back to the mainland, which was great. Price 1.200.00 IDR for 2 persons (private tour) for Dolphin tour. 300.000 IDR for boat transfer to mainland Bahowo. It was quiet at the resort, only us and 1 other couple. Instead of the more crowded 3will next door. We were looking for quiet, therefore we chose this resort.

The food was not good and very very expensive. Even for European standards is was overpriced. 150.000 IDR per person for a poor lunch of chicken (with bony pieces in it) and overcooked veggies. 75.000 IDR per person for a breakfast with a bit of overcooked scrambled eggs and some toast. It is a completely ridiculous price, and it felt like they were robbing us. If you stay here, please eat outside (we can recommend bunaken cafe & resto or novita homestay) The accomodation really needs maintainance. The water drainage in the bathroom was not good, so after a shower the whole bathroom became a swimming pool. Outside there are a lot of unfinished buildings and old furniture. It did not look very nice. No blankets provided in the room, only sheets. While the ladies working here are very nice, we think the guy (Stefan) who manages the place when we were there was a bit rude and uninterested. Especially the last night when they made up our bill. They charge 10% for paying by creditcard, instead of the 2-3% we are used to in Indonesia. Luckily we had enough cash money with us. Overall, we would not recommend to stay at this place.

The owners and the staff were really nice. They could give us lots of information about the islands, diving and snorkeling. Booking trips with them was easy, quick and flexible, really reasonable prices. The pool was great! Clean rooms, big beds, nice restaurant.

We didn't have wifi in our room, only on the terrace, which wasn't a big problem though.

Hello! I booked a room at the Villa Queens in Bunaken. We had two fundamental issues: First the one regarding booking.com: As a Genius member Level 3 I got a free upgrade to my purchased room(as indicated in my booking as well) . Well supposedly I did. I found out that there are just two room categories at this resort. We were shown to a simple room which they call a deluxe Villa. We didn’t receive the promised upgrade! The second issue is the hotel itself! It just reopened - the owner called it a soft opening. Well to our misery about two months too early! The hotel is in the middle of heavy renovations! A building site - rubble, concrete bags everywhere. Accompanying sound to breakfast is not the sound of waves rather then drilling and hammering noises! It is unacceptable! I complained right away to the owner- she gave me another room- well still we are in the middle of a building site! As there was no warning about the renovation and the side effects of a building site- lying on the deckchair workers pass by all day long with their wheelbarrow. All I wanted is to have a relaxing holiday and not a busy construction site! The rooms are very dated as well as having rusty appliances, mould on the tiles and very weak AC. Therefore I was not prepared to pay the whole amount which was taken before we checked in. I asked for a compensation and was laughed off! I have taken a lot of photos as Fotos tell more than a thousand words can describe. The location is not good as well, no beach access approximately 200m away. The view of the room is into the rubble, the view from our breakfast table - view into the rubble. There are hardly any plants as well. The breakfast is simple Indonesian breakfast despite that the owner claims to target for European tourists. Diving is available but there is no discount if you dive 10 times for example (which all of the neighboring resorts offer). Always 50€ per dive.

My stay was amazing! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the diving spots were top-notch. The homecooked meals were a treat, and the comfortable rooms were a perfect retreat after a day of adventure. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful getaway.

You are metres away from a breathtaking kaleidoscopic myriad of tropical fish, multi-coloured coral, turtles and much more! At Villa Queen’s, Juliana and Madhi will most certainly make you feel like part of the family.

Resort has a good common area and nice pools that sets it apart from competition. Good rooms, comfortable beds, no outside noise. Best part was the amazing service and help from the owners. Solving any surprise situation (find a new dive guide when planned one was sick), to cooking personalized food and treat for kids, to shopping for special items (visit 4 supermarkets to find what's asked for)

a beautifully designed resort, and lovely warm staff. The wonderful and diverse meals and snacks throughout the day were a treat.
