Paddington Villa 1 - Close To Town

The layout was great, good location into town whether driving or a 10min or so walk. Recently updated and everything was clean and fresh. 2x split system air conditioners however we found the bar heaters worked well and heated the house better (we put the large one on the lounge room and smaller one in hallway near back bedroom). Small things like coffee machine with pods, little milks in fridge and sauces, Netflix and Disney were all added bonus’s.

The noise by the neighbours was terrible and a happy neighbouring dog There are 3x villas within the one house (we weren’t aware of the third until we arrived) and thought it was just a duplex. We were Villa 1, the neighbours in Unit 2 you could hear stomping throughout the house im the evening, their kids would be running around screaming and constantly slamming doors etc. Very thin walls. No consideration at all (we had kids ourselves 8 and 11 and no way would they do that, especially when we arrived and told them in was a split house) Unit 3s main living area backed onto our main bedroom. Even though the walls were concrete the man occupying the unit was extremely loud and had the tv blaring. We had to go knock twice over the 4x nights were there, to be met by a very large, loud European man who wasn’t happy that we kindly asked him to turn his voice down. We shouldn’t have had to do that and felt very intimidated on our short stay holiday. It was not relaxing. We know the owner cant control this, but we did not sleep well the time we were there and neither did out children. Small minor suggestions - Bathroom could use a heat lamp as it’s freezing in winter with an open shower. Kitchen could use a dish rack.

The overall appearance of the property was appeasing and very cosy for our family. The added bonus was the dryer that was available. The host went above and beyond by making the books available for our toddler so that he could also wind down without relying much on TV.

One of the aircon remot controls was not working but we were able to operate it with the other one that was available.

Comfortable

We had an ant invasion in the kitchen and the air con in the lounge room was very loud

The property was well equipped, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We came from Sydney on the XPT and could walk to and from the station. We hope to return soon!

Beautifully presented property with original features eg pressed ceilings and stained glass in front room, very clean. Easy communication and good location.

Nice, spacious unit located close to the City center. Me and my family enjoyed our stay.

Excellent facilities throughout, large property, and each room beautifully appointed. Welcoming too with coffee, tea, biscuits, milk etc provided. Had a problem logging on to Netflx which was fixed by the owner really quickly.
