Ara Garden Inn, Accommodation, Yoga studio & Spa

Ara Garden is situated in a beautiful garden setting which is very peaceful. You require a scooter to go into Ruteng and local sights. The staff arranged for a car and driver to take us to see the spiderweb rice fields and Liang Lia Cave (Hobbit Cave and Museum). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

- Hotel owner really helped us out prior to travelling to Flores and arranged for overland transfers from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng and then from Ruteng to Bajawa. Both drivers had good English and were reasonably priced. Thank you very much to Dolvi (staff at Ara) for driving us and being so patient with the construction on the way and driving us to dinner that evening. - Large, spacious and clean room. - Beautiful surrounding gardens. The properties back on to a bamboo forest and river. - Simple and nice breakfast. We were served fresh avocado which came from the tree on-site. - Recommend to visit the spider web rice fields which are close by.

The room was very clean and bright. The shower was lovely and hot. We ate at the hotel. Basic menu but very tasty. Loved the pumpkin soup.

Lovely quiet stay

- Yoga teacher (and owner of the hotel) who was great - Great value for money with comfortable modern room, amazing garden and great breakfast - Family owned and operated with true care for the clients - Good shower with decent soap and shampoo

- Some equipments in the rooms need small restaurations or reparation

We stayed here for one night. The property is set in a lovely garden. In the morning I had a coffee that is made locally on one of the benches and just sat and watched the birds and butterflies. Breakfast was really nice. We also had a massage which was very good and easily organised either by WhatsApp or with reception. There is also an area for yoga and mats. We had a scooter so was easy for us to get there but it isn't far from of a few restaurants/shops. The bedroom was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the trees. Bed was huge. We had a very quiet night's sleep. Staff were friendly and also helpful telling us about traffic/road closures for our journey ahead. Thank you for our stay.
