"A very relaxing stay in a spotless villa with great sea views"

The villa is located an easy drive from Funchal airport, with lovely views of the ocean from the pool deck, living area and bedrooms. The villa was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - including a washing machine and tumble drier. There were multiple areas to sit outside, including in shaded areas and plenty of pool towels. The jacuzzi in the pool was a great place to sit and relax - it is not (advertised as) a hot tub, and is not heated higher than the pool temperature (which was warm but not hot). Jorge was a great host, providing us with information and help, local bananas, and a local recipe cake baked by his wife! The local supermarket, about a mile away, is well stocked, and the Tiki bar 500m down the road is a lovely place to have a cocktail. The 5km walk into Calheta is gorgeous, down into the river valley and up the other side, it's a simple path and very easy to follow. Getting a taxi back from Calheta is simple, and Jorge provided a couple of taxi contacts to go the other way.

We liked it all - my only suggestion would be a short manual in the villa explaining how some of the equipment worked, and providing a few details on the local area - restaurants etc.

"Wonderful villa on a wonderful island enjoy!!"

Excellent location for exploring Madeira 5 minute drive into Calheta where there are several restaurants and bars and never too busy. The villa was amazing and we felt at home as soon we walked through the door.Jorge our host gave us some hints for days out,just enjoy Madeira but make time to enjoy the villa the evening barbecue and it’s views as well.

"The perfect family holiday!"

Our host was very friendly and helpful. He arranged our car hire and provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations and ideas for things to do locally. The pool was lovely and warm and the view from the villa was beautiful.

Beds were slightly hard but it wouldn't put us off staying again.
