A gorgeous cottage in a great location if you're looking to get away from it all. Stunning views across the dales. The beds were extremely comfortable. Would definitely book again!

"Quirky comfortable cottage with great views, but requiring updated catering facilities."

7.0

The cottage is quirky and interesting. Position was great, with stunning views and within easy reach( by car) of nearby places of interest. Interesting walking routes accessible for hikers and ramblers. Beds and seating were clean and comfortable, and additional toiletries were provided in the bathroom.

The property is let down by the catering facilities. The main kitchen appliances need updating or replacing. No dishwasher, which is unusual these days. The main oven takes a long time ( over half an hour) to reach average cooking temperature, and the additional small cooker that has been placed in the utility room (in response to other comments ) is an old and tatty baby belling that sadly looks like a left over from student halls of residence. The integrated microwave doesn't work at all, and the replacement free standing one in the kitchen is difficult to use and temperamental. The small freezer referred to in the blurb is also old and is perilously balanced on an equally old two drawer filing cabinet in the utility room! Certainly not safe if you have small children toddling around. As the utility room is the first point of entry to the property it doesn't give the best first impression of what to expect!. These issues were a disappointment in otherwise nice self catering accommodation. It was a pity as we felt with a bit of updating in the kitchen and utility room, and a bit of t.l.c it could an be an outstanding holiday let.

"Lovely house with great views"

9.0

Fabulous views and position. House was comfy with 3 double bedrooms and nice sofas in a large sitting room. Great for a family or small group of friends. Great contact from agents to smooth any questions. (Also there is an extra loo downstairs which is not included in description but is worth noting!)

The garden needs some attention with grass and hedges overgrown and could enhance the view (even more!) some better outside seating would be fabulous. The cooker could be upgraded so just works normally.

The location is perfect, beautiful views and lovely cottage garden. Great for bird watching. Lovely cottage with good extras in the house, bath room and kitchen. Very pretty and close to parking. Mobility was easy as my mum is in a mobility scooter, she drove it along the path and round to the facility room and straight in. Although there are stairs inside they have banisters and were fine for her to negotiate.

A little bit more of a thorough clean and the slats of one of the single beds had fallen off and we had to fix them although one slat was broken . I found a crunchie wrapper by one of the beds and the side of the bath could do with a proper clean. Minor problems though overall I loved this cottage.

"Two night stay, pleasant overall."

7.0

Lovely views and a good sized property. Nice and quiet. Close to good places to.visit and close to a good pub. Nice touches like toiletries in the bathroom and access to tea, coffee, cereals etc in the kitchen.

The beds and bed linen were average. The curtain poles were a bit rickety. Nothing major.
