Number 15 Ocean & City View Villas

Great location with a stunning view over Funchal. A pleasant walk into the town centre and an easy taxi ride back if you don’t want an uphill walk. The apartment is modern and comfortable. Very spacious for a couple. The parking area is an essential element as parking in the streets of Funchal would be very difficult. The bed was large and very comfortable. A vey good base to explore Madeira. Communication with the owner Louise was excellent.

Minor elements only. There could be a bit more dishware in the kitchen to avoid using the dishwasher too often. Other similar properties we have stayed in had a few more essential items in the kitchen and bathroom. One night’s sleep was interrupted by the barking of dogs nearby (but as these were not the owners’ there is nothing she could have done).

Sehr geschmack- und stilvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit grossartiger Aussicht auf Funchal und Hafen. Küche ist sehr gut ausgerüstet, so dass wir marktfrisch in der Stadt eingekauft und mehrheitlich in der Wohnung gekocht und gegessen haben - obwohl die Idee war, dass wir in Funchal mehr ins Restaurant gehen würden. Die City ist zu Fuss gut erreichbar, es geht aber auch super einfach und schnell mit dem Bus.

Es gab nichts zu mäkeln.

A very clean, spacious, and well presented apartment, with a stunning view of Funchal. Close to the main roads, making it an ideal location as a base camp for exploring the island. Easy to walk into Funchal, or use Bolt to grab a taxi.

The property was located quite close to the town centre so was walkable downhill. Walking back uphill in Funchal is a challenge but our host recommended a local taxi app which was inexpensive and easy to use. Our host was very approachable and gave advice where possible. This was appreciated.

We hired a motorbike. I am an experienced motorcyclist but while driving on the smaller roads is enjoyable it is a challenge and concentration is required.

Uns hat die Lage gut gefallen, weil wir von unserer Terasse einen tollen Ausblick auf Funchal hatten. Und mit Bolt konnten wir günstig in die Stadt fahren und uns zurück bringen lassen.

Das Hungegebell in der Gegend, da kann aber die Vermietung nichts dafür.

Einfach alles. Der Blick auf den Hafen und Funchal ist toll.
