Number 15 Ocean & City View Villas

We absolutely loved our stay at Number 15 - the views were stunning, the apartment was comfy and clean, it has A/C, and Louise is an absolute gem to chat with and get some local tips from. We actually decided to walk almost everywhere and leave the car at home (which is doable so long as you're ok with waking up steep hills!). Would book here again without hesitation!

It would have been helpful if some more necessities would be provided (eg. Hand soap for the bathroom, salt & pepper, paper towels, some additional Tupperware containers maybe) as we ended up having to buy quite a bit to make the most of our weeklong stay. This is no fault of the place or owner but the apartments are very close to a school or daycare so it got quite noisy during the daytime hours, but more reason to go explore I guess :)

Everything and more than expected l. Great host, Louise made sure we had all of the information on everything we needed to do and see. I would recommend this villa to anyone.

Madeira has extremely steep hills and because it’s very tropical it has a lot of tiny mosquitoes that bite so bring spray, we used Bolt cab service all the time as very cheap and reliable

Everything was perfect, the balcony (more like a large terrace!) had the most incredible view of Funchal. The villa itself was like a home away from home - furnished & decorated in such a way that felt cosy yet light and airy (helped by the many floor to ceiling glass doors out onto the terrace). Great kitchen facilities, clean bathroom with utility space, and a comfortable bedroom with ample closet space, huge bed and vanity. Louise was wonderful - so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn't have to ask for replacement towels, she made sure they were provided, and her tips on how to get around the island were really useful (use Bolt - cheap, quick and door to door). The villas are up a steep hill, so we walked down each day, but used Bolt to get back up. The journey back from the town isn't long, and the price ranged from €3.50 to around €7 for busier periods (rush hour, evening etc.). Whether eating a home-cooked dinner on the balcony, resting on the sofa before heading down to the town for dinner, or simply plunging into the pool after a long day of exploring the island, Number 15 really did nurture us during our week-long stay. We can't wait to come back (and we never go back to the same place, so that's truly saying something!).

Le logement est très bien placé, proche du centre ville et proche de la voie rapide pour profiter de toutes les merveilles de l’île. La piscine était elle aussi toujours disponible et très bien entretenue, les hôtes sont d’une gentillesse rare et d’une servitude exceptionnelle. Si nous avons passé un très bon séjour, c’est aussi grâce à cela ! Merci beaucoup !!!

Huge spacious place with a great pool and views, central to the city and easy to access to get around the island. Host was amazing and helped us with everything we would need!
