Great apartment with all amenities available. Salt water pool and majestic views on Funchal. Complimentary carpark is also fantastic. Absolute "gem" on Madeira. Fantastic host Louis who is available to all your questions.

The cottage is very spacious and clean and has a lovely terrace with amazing views. Perfect location for renting a car as close to highway and only 10 minutes from Funchal town centre, with parking space. Bed was really comfortable and Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely, friendly host who provided all the necessary information for us to enjoy our stay. Amazing property with stunning views. We loved our stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough. Bit of a hike up some hills to get to it from the town but we didn’t mind this at all and preferred being out of the centre a bit. But something to be aware of. We walked there most days and nights and didn’t mind it at all. Peaceful location and great facilities. It felt like a home from home. Thanks again!

Firstly we were greeted by the wonderful hosts Louise and Raul and were lucky to get in early after an early flight. We loved the comfort and cosiness of the cottage, furniture and finishings all to a high standard. The roof terrace was lovely when the sun decided to come out. The 360 degree view was beautiful. Hosts were super friendly and helpful leaving us to our privacy but there when we needed them. The location is very quiet and quite easy to walk down hill (it’s very steep in places so need good grip on shoes!) but you will need to get taxi back. Recommend the Bolt App for this as we got charged less than ones we picked up from taxi rank. The restaurant’s and bars in Santa Maria street area were lovely, lots to choose from, Louise will send some great recommendation’s. We also used Bolt Food App to order in. It was so nice and comfy and had box to get Amazon and Netflix. Perfect night in with a bottle of wine 😊

The cottage had good lighting but if you prefer natural light opt for one of the villas. I can imagine on a hot summers day you will love coolness of the cottage shade. But don't forget the sunshine you get and the best view from the cottages private terrace.Small but perfect for 2

We had a wonderful stay for over a week. Loved the space of a multi room apartment and the views over Funchal to the port are spectacular. Very easy to spend lots of time here with an extensive balcony, loungers and outside dining. Our plans and the weather for the first few days meant we didn't get to use the outside space so much. The kitchen is very well equipped and we appreciated the option to stay in and cook for a few nights. There are though plenty of good places to eat in Funchal (Pescatarian highlights for us were Akua and Armazem do Sal). Our host Louise was great and welcomed us with an overview + hints and tips on arrival. Communications throughout our stay were excellent. You ideally need a car as it's a steep climb up on the hillside but definitely worth it. A 15 minute walk downhill and you can be in the centre of Funchal.

The villa was a fair climb from the old city but we really enjoyed walking. The view was breathtaking of the Harbor and the hills. Louise was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed! Taxis were cheap and made it easy to get around if you got tired of walking. I think Funchal was my favorite part of Portugal!

Lovely comfortable villa set in a residential area on the hill overlooking Funchal harbour. Very quiet at night so sleep undisturbed by barking dogs which can be a problem in Funchal.Louise is a lovely host , making sure we had everything we needed and full of useful information for our stay. All rooms are a good size and well equipped. Kitchen has everything you need for self catering. Good heating in all rooms. Only a 15 minute walk into the centre.We have stayed at various places in and around Funchal over the years but would happily return here without a moment's hesitation. We had a wonderful time.😊

This wasn't a problem for us but the cottage does not have immediate views of the bay from inside. It looks out onto a small garden and then the back of the other 2 apartments that are available to let. It does have access to its own terrace if you walk outside and to the end of the property where there is a table and chairs and magnificent views of the bay(see photos) If you are looking for the spectacular views from within then I would book one of the other apartments that are on site.
