Number 15 Ocean & City View Villas

Everything was wonderful. The location of the cottage is very close to the city center. The cottage has a lovely terrace, where we loved to have our coffees in the mornings. The view of the port was breathtaking. Also, Louise, our host, is a wonderful, very friendly person. She explained us everything we needed. We felt right at home at this property. And we would love to come again, next time we are in Madeira.

Able to walk to city centre. Lovely shared outdoor spaces with pool. Quiet and private apartment, spacious. Easy to get to from airport and easy access to/from highways. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

On a very steep hill, difficult to drive but manageable.

Exceptional villa stunningly decorated with gorgeous views and light. Spotless, spacious and charming. Louise went out of her way to help us in numerous ways, and we found her recommendations to be spot on

Only negative is for travellers that may not have a car- return from downtown is a long and uphill walk

It is an excellent property. Spacious. Good value for money. Quiet. Having a small kitchenette means bringing back fresh food a preparing something to eat in is easy. Eating out is excellent but if you are vegetarian or vegan do some online research first. The Tree House was good. Informal was disappointing. The fresh fruit in the market looked amazing but look out for the prices!

The location (about 15-20 minutes’ walk to the sea front down - and then up - very steep hills would not make this suitable for anyone with mobility issues, unless they took a taxi each way (about €10 each way). Also there are a few mosquitoes.

Louise is an excellent host! Highly recommend.

The villa is very cozy, the bed is comfortable and the kitchens have all the equipment you need. The view from the windows is stunning. The hostess is very nice. We had a great time and hope to come back.

Just an offer to take care of things like trash bags, toilet paper, and soap. When staying for a few days, it is inconvenient to buy your own tools and leave them behind.

Great villa - amazing view over Funchal, perfect location to get into town (7 min by car, 30 min walk-but don’t walk home! Too steep!!) and also getting out to hiking locations. Comfortable living room and bedroom, nicely equipped kitchen. Very spacious for 2! Pool was a bonus!

It was all great. Minor glitch was the AC in the bedroom wasn’t working but Louise provided a fan and all was good.

Nothing - the house in on top of a steep hill, it’s manageable but it’s good to know :)

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage, very clean and cute, it really gives a homey feel to it what we really liked! Kitchen is wonderful has everything you need if you would like to make breakfast or cook dinner! Location is also very nice, only 5 minutes away from the old town!
