Beautiful house and garden- actually felt very homely too

Beautiful house and gardens backing onto the shallow river, Quiet,peaceful enclosed gardens a short walk to the lovely town of Richmond, Well equipped house and loads of private safe parking

Exceptionally clean a lovely family home with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday Bedrooms excellent comfy beds clean and large .

Fabulous house and great location on the edge of Richmond, perfect for a family get together. There are superb public rooms and the kitchen is well equipped. Good communication with the owners, who were very helpful.

The lack of a communal toilet or bathroom on the ground or first floor may be difficult for someone with mobility issues, also for the occupants of the ground floor bedroom without an en-suite.

We loved everything about this place! The gardens are beautiful, the kitchen had everything you needed for a family of 12, the beds were comfortable, the place was spotless and the place was full of charm. The host was accommodating and friendly. Just a short walk into Richmond for a little shopping and some great restaurants. Highly recommend to any famlies looking for a large gathering

The only small thing was we all love each other so much we wanted to all sit in one room and there wasn't quite enough seating/siofa space for us all but we used the dining room chairs and it wasn't a problem

Pretty much everything. The beautiful villa, traditional features with very high quality interior details yet warm and homely feel. Large spaces with plenty of opportunity to spread out, a fabulous garden with an extensive lawn for playing family games but equally ample inside rooms for rainy weather, reading, playing music, entertaining etc. Very well equipped kitchen with both traditional and modern facilities. The house had been cleaned to a high standard with spotless bathrooms and bedrooms too.

This is a bit nit picking (but you did ask!)- The only thing that might have made the stay easier would be to have a separate toilet on the middle or ground floor (rather than all being inside en-suites except for the family bathroom on top floor) This was ok for most of us but we had two mobility impaired guests who had to return to their rooms when needed. I guess this would be not feasible with plumbing which was otherwise excellent with plentiful hot water and great bathrooms - Best bath with a garden/river view we've ever experienced from the top floor!

Location fabulous by the River Swale. Very peaceful. Large garden. Our expectations were exceeded. Unique Georgian Villa. Excellent.
